Villa or Eto'o for a target man?

Bit small aren't they

Villa was quoted recently as snubbing Spurs to hold out for a move to Real Madrid - though apparently his buyout clause is £100m (that said Valencia are in trouble financially so i'd expect him to leave for 20-25m, either Madrid Chelsea or Arsenal bound IMO.

Modric to Spurs though, cracking signing that.

I always thought eto'o was a midget, admittedly hes hardly a crouch or ibrahimovic but 5ft11 isnt exactly tiny. Gotta agree modric is a great signing though, Berbatov can happily go for around the £25-30 million mark. We will have to buy another striker and most probably another centre back cause it looks like Mr King wont be around much longer with all his injuries.

I reckon if you're after a centre back then Ramos will go for Ben Haim on the cheap, he's got no chance of a game next year with Ivanovic able to play centre back in the event that JT and Ricky are both injured.

No way once again he would be better than no1 but i defo prefer a top class signing thats what lpool need, big players with big reputations, not average joe's.

you do need him but he wont join your shower

well he might now we wont get to europe

Please not Barry - We don't need him.

What would he bring to the team??

Gerrard and Alonso are two of the best passers, Mascherano is quicker, works harder and tackles better than barry for defensive mid, and Lucas is an up and coming all rounder.

The only option barry brings is a left foot, but thats not realy relevent unless he plays left mid or left back where he wouldn't perform as well as world class players in those positions.

If we want someone for the left go for matias fernandez (he's just as good with both), he will be quite cheap too, barry will be over priced.

Here's Augero and Fernandez compilation:
WATCH

If only Rafa had the funds and backing, he could have brought David Villa a couple of years ago for around £10 mil, before zaragotta sold him. Rafa has missed out on so many players that have turned out amazing, he wanted Berbatov too a around about the same time.

Yeah i agree barry would be better than no one but i would also prefer a top class signing instead of barry.

Bentley is better than Pennant, and would allow Gerrard to move to where he plays best - in the middle of the park.

Gareth Barry is better than anyone on Liverpool's left hand side and would be an improvement to both the left back and left side of midfield.

Both Barry and Bentley are among the leading Premiership players in their positions, something Liverpool need if they have serious domestic aspirations next season.

The likes of Aguero and Johnny Foreigner would always come with a risk of turning out to be an absolute donkey. You only have to look as far back as Diego Forlan and Juan Veron at United for proof of this.
