The premiership is far, far more physical than La Liga though.

Defenders wouldn't hesitate to plough him down.

He seems to get injured easily,so maybe that would be a downside, but i just want him in the prem, although i doubt it will happen.

United do not have room for another attacking fullback who can not defend.

No doubt chelsea will spend the most then utd, then arsenal and lpool, arsenal will have to spend loads if flamini, gilberto and a few others go. Chelsea will bring in big players as will utd, arsenal and lpool tend to go for cheaper players who we havent heard of.

Messi will struggle in the Premiership,i believe.Far more physical than La Liga.Great player though.I think Chelsea would be better off with a proven Premiership striker like Van Nistelrooy. That guy will score goals in any league.Even Henry would be a good buy.

You know Man u and inparticular Chelsea will spend big, i think Arsenal need to tho. Their last few seasons is unacceptable imo (bar the EC final which without a trophy is nothing anyway). Cant see Liverpool spending much in the current state with owners etc. Spurs may have a busy transfer window tho.

Problem for utd is that the fans now expect (and rightly so if they claim to be the biggest club in the world) the biggest or one of the best signings of the summer.
Chelsea have unlimited money so its just the normal thing to do it seems.
The rest of the prem are all playing catch up and unfortunately its the big money transfers that seem to get you the prizes. Take away the top 5 players from each top prem team and they become average, regardless of what makavelli will say with regards to utd about this.
Spending big is now part of the game, a game that is now ruled by money.

basically the clubs that have been bought will spend big (like this year)

so the other teams will start to slide down, i cant see stoke, sunderland and west brom staying up to be honest, west brom look good and play well but if half the premiership spends £40m it will be hard

If they spend it wisely and not on some of the tosh they did last year then they might make more of a push for the league.

I fear you have doubled what they will actually spend.
With the names that are supposedly leaving, 40m should not be an unrealistic target though...

We battered Stoke 3-0 at home.Totally outplayed them.WBA were not very convincing yesterday, especially when they had the title to play for,and we had 10 men for an hour.

Can't see either staying up,or the playoff winners. They need to spend big time to have any hope. Can't see Kevin Phillips doing anything in the Prem.

Liverpool spent on Torres and Babel, how you can call them tosh I have no idea.

If you were refering to Vorinin, he came on a free.

They were the good signings.

Fact is for every Voronin or Pennant that Liverpool bring in, United or Chelsea will bring in a Nani or Anelka.

Bad move buying Anelka.Looked good at Bolton because the other players were not all that special. Can't see him getting alot of goals.

He's not been at his best because he's not best utilised as a lone striker.

Partner him with Drogba and IMO they would be prolific.
