I have just finished a bulking cycle and have put on a few extra pounds of fat i would like to lose. Im now really tightening up my diet and slowly starting to reduce calories. What i would like to know is walking a good source of cardio. I ask this because i have a 30min walk to work which i do there and back each day plus i do 3 heavy weights sessions each week, would this be enough for fat loss. Dont really want to add anymore cardio in the gym incase i start overtraining and end up losing muscle

Yes walking is a good source of cardio, even better if you do it at a brisk pace, even more better if uphill. Why not see how you get on with that protocol and if things aren't heading in the direction you want them to, then look at incorporating some extra cardio in the gym. Monitor for a few weeks and see if any progress.

Actually Im going to disagree somewhat with the other posts. Walking is not a great cardio for most people. The thing is that unless you are severely out of shape or old or something along those lines, it does not provide the right intensity. The idea is that one should exercise in a range between 55% and 85% of one's maximum heart rate to achieve a training effect, and for the vast majority of us walking does not put us in that range. Now dont get me wrong, you will still burn some calories, and it certainly is better than nothing. However walking will not neccessarily give you the same cardiovascular benefits or aerobic fitness that a proper cardio would. Edit: In regards to fat loss only, you should be fine. Overall your diet is the most important factor there and I have seen plenty of people lose weight without cardio of any kind (mind you I dont recommend this, but its doable). If you want the best overall health benefits however I would include some "proper" cardio say a couple of times a week.

Walking isn;t really cardio it's really NEPA but still useful especially early when fasted or with a little protein in the system.
