Hey everyone

I'm after some help on some cutting problems I have...

I don't know if I'm a bit weird but at the moment I'm on a cut and am aiming for about 2000 cals, 250g protein and 70g carbs on non workout days and 100g on workout days. It is a 'diet' called the T-Dawg v2 diet from www.t-nation.com site.

Anyway - I struggle. But not struggling to keep below 2000 cals - I struggle to eat enough cals! I seem to average around 1700 cals a day - and I literally can't eat any more!! I hate to think what I will do when I'm on a bulk. Anyone else have these sorts of problems and how did they overcome them while still keepoing a reign on carbs?

And while I'm here - can you buy food stuffs that are low carbs - and is a 70/100g carbs diet a bit tight?

Just for some info - a run of the mill training day diet would consist:

Brekkie (pre workout) - 7.20am
Porridge + 1 scoop Whey + semi skimmed Milk

Post Workout (straight after workout - around 8.30am)
MP Hurricane (2 scoops) + 1 scoop Whey

9.15am
3xScrambbled Eggs on 1x Wholemeal toast

Snack
Handful of nuts

Dinner
Chicken Breast and Watercress

Snack
Protein Shake

Tea
Turkey breast, green veg

Bed time snack
Protein Shake

If your on a cut and trying to lose weight whats the problem for weight loss your meant to eat under your maintenance. Is 2000 calories maiintenance for you? And you need to eat around 500 calories less than usual each day to lose a 1lb a week.

2500 is my maintenance - so 2000 for the cut. I didn't know if it was unhealthy to eat less than that...

yea thats wierd your having trouble putting in the food when its only 2000 calories. I can put down 3000 kcals in one sitting haha. Just keep eating and your stomach will eventually expand. I usually have a hard time once I go from cut to bulk, especially if i am stupid and don't do a maintenance phase in between. I wouldn't suggest eatting less than 1700 calories as a man, your just starting to get to an unhealthy level and Im assuming your not doing this for a competition or job so safe is better.

when healthy choices are being made it is surprising what size portions you can eat, i have experienced the same with cals and food sizes, just upped my cals from 1500 to 2000 pd, seem to miss one of my snacks by end of the day,

i have to eat not because i am hungry but because i know it is about 3 hrs since my last snack / meal.

try looking at food choices, some are much more filling than others for similar cals value,
