£1200 on credit card  but i'm wanting a new car shortly so maybe more

Dont mean to pinpoint you here but I never understood why people do this...
I can afford to buy a new bmw m3 but cant afford the insurance & running costs which to me means I cant afford the car simple as.

Im 27 I own everything I got I pay for it out right no Hp no pay weekly or monthly I save my money till I can buy the item.
Worse thing you can do now is go in debt cause interest on debt going to go sky high and you pay loads extra not going to be worth it anymore worst time to think of it.
I know with buying a house bit diffrent but other things you have to get second hand rather then brand new and borrow money ant worth it try avoid debt at all costs today with country in roccession were only 25% way through it yet alot worse to come and this is why now you got to be carefull now money going to become very hard to get hold of shortly

£1500 on student overdraft and about £200 on credit card, my exams finish tuesday so im off looking for a temp job to pay that off before i get my finals results!!!

Well our mortgage is fully paid. I do have a small £450 one on a credit card though but its nothing major. I hate being in debt no matter how large or small.

Loooooooooooads of debt. Why? The ex insisted that she went to uni as a mature student and I wasnt earning enough to cover us both. Rapidly accured lots of debt. Really need to look into getting it all sorted into one...

7000 mortgage thats it, could pay it off tomorrow but would loose interest if i did,
i firmly believe if you cant afford something then save till you can.

I was in a similar situation until a year ago - I had around 20k and litterally has pound spare at the end of the month. I sold my car which started the ball rolling to clearly debt. I now own virtually nothing apart from my mortgage but that still costs me £1000 per month. Bout to clear a load of that when it is renewed though!

£28,000 on old credit cards,last made a payment in 2000,and have no intention of paying any more.
£900 on current credit card which i will pay back.
£4500 car loan,which i am half way through,18 months to go.
I think that's it.
Do i care?.

6k a year either inc. 1 year industry placement or 1 year fail.
Few mates are on about the same.
