Can anyone tell me 1 good reason to buy reflex whey £36 for 2.5kg rather then bulk whey from MP for £31 for 5kg?

because that's not a reasonable comparison:

1) is the MP whey flavoured? flavouring costs money after all, and personally i prefer eating stuff that tastes nice.

2) is the MP in bags (which you have to then move into old tubs) or tubs? the reflex comes in a tub that can be opened and closed repeatedly, and even their bags are re-usable, unlike the MP one.

3) Reflex make all their own stuff - they have their own factory. MP don't, and farm out the process to other companies.

4) That is a naff price for Reflex instant whey - I've just found through randomly searching my competitors a 32.99 with free delivery price, and looking at the 10lbs bag places, I've just found a place where you can buy it for LESS THAN 11 quid per kilo!!!

That's with delivery to mainland UK.

so basically not 1 good reason, as i thought, thanks

If you want to go ahead and try to compare two products that are absolutely different, with one being gorgeous, and including lots of additional extras...and the other being cheap and cheerful, then go ahead.

Not a knock against MP, they sell good products, however comparing bog standard whey to whey that's:

1) Sweetened
2) Flavoured
3) Includes added Glutamine
4) Includes Whey Protein Hydrolsate
5) Includes added digestive enzymes
6) Comes in more usable, more expensive and convienient packaging

Is just a piss take. It's like saying the Vauxhall Astra 1.6 is the same as the Vauxhall Astra VXR - they might at base include the same chassis...but they are not the same car.

In addition - as I noted in the above post you obviously DIDNT read...Reflex Instant Whey can be bought by any consumer for less than 11 quid a kilo. Now...that, in my book....is cheap.

Well thats more of the reply i was looking for, thanks

Something that may actually make it worthwhile to buy...like added glutamine, enzymes and hydrolsate...whatever that is...

Your first post which talked about flavouring, tubs, making their own stuff was a bit pointless and they were not good enough reasons to buy it over bulk whey TBH

They are good reasons to buy - tubs are more useful than bags. Why? Because you need old tubs to put your bagged stuff in, since the bulk supplier bags are not designed to be opened and closed repeatedly.

Flavouring - I don't know about you, but I prefer to enjoy my protein rather than have something with an non-existant, boring or unpleasant taste.

Making your own stuff also has advantages - will Reflex ever be out of stock? No, cos they produce everything themselves. So...will retailers ever be out of stock? Nope, cos Reflex probably have a next day order system like alot of other manufacturers...and won't **** up production supplies cos they own the factory....and hence...you'll never have to wait a couple weeks for it.

Sorry but that isn't true. We manufacture in-house as well and have done since we started.

Also if you want to compare with a flavoured whey then look at either of the following options which are cheaper (more so when bought in bulk):

http://www.myprotein.co.uk/mp-max/whey-protein/
http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-supplies/flavoured-whey/whey-blend-(5lb)-(refill)/

Hi,

Yes everything is made "in house" in our factory. Well we don't obviously make whey, no supplement company world-wide does, but its blended & processed here. Don't forget we also make everything in accordance with ISO9001 UKAS as well.

MP :)

Hi,

That's an assumption.... We produce our flavoured whey in-house.

Thanks, MP.

And bars?

That is correct we don't make our bars in-house, we use the same company as you do.

Thanks, MP.

Reflex whey is good stuff.

If You wanna save some dosh you might wanna get the flavoured from all-in-one(same as reflex) - after all I do beleive it's made in the same factory.

http://www.sports-nutrition.net/store.php?sub=3&id=18

that does not mean that it is the same product

all in one unflavored one now is £9.63 per kilo way too expensive if you can buy reflex by £11 pounds which is in my opinion better

Got a sample of strawberry from them took like 2 months to come lol but tastes ok in water but there better tasting shakes about, like garnell and boditronics

Samples were only manufactured 10 days ago, so you got it pretty quickly. Instant Whey is one of the only whey products that will contain the amount of protein that is state on the label and backed by independant tests.

James how do I get samples of Instant Whey? I would also like to sample your new protein blend Peptide fusion if possible.

John.

We have a limited amount of strawberry sachets in Instant Whey. We do not have any samples of Peptide Fusion. However..

If you buy a Peptide Fusion I give you my personal guarantee that its the business! If you don't like it for any reason I'll write you a cheque for a full refund. Is that fair? We'll also throw in some NOS Fusion samples along with the Instant Whey sample.

Ok thanks James, can't say fairer than that.

I have used the Strawberry a lot, I wanted to give the Choc-Orange a try.

I am looking into the Peptide Fusion at the mo looks like a good blend

There are few blends that are decent imo CNP Pro-Peptide and Boditronics Midnight Express are sound, your 's looks another.

Cheers mate.

John.
