why deadlift from the floor?
-
04 May 2008 19:51
seems to me the most dangerous part of a deadlift is the part where you get just off the floor and your back could round. is there any mileage in raising the par about 1 foot using the lowest setting in a power rack and deading off that height? or would this mean i turn into a stick insect?

You'd turn into a haggard old crow with a particular preference for pickled pilchards. How dare you doubt the almighty dead lift. SO by starting a foot up, essentially removing the lift part. Would it just be called dead??

Rack pulls? I think thats what they're called.
ORIGINAL: jango Personally I think this testicle tenderness is due to my recent return to AM cardio. I do it naked on a recumbent bike and my gonads tend to flop about.

Do it with proper form and it's fine, increase the height and it becomes a rack pull of sorts, these are good for building lockout strength.

so is there any huge benefit for the bodybuilder in deadlifts over rackpulls? If rackpulls are safer would it be an idea to do this instead?
