Just a play of the "DO you Squat" thread.

Does anyone else absolutley hate doing isolation exercises. I love going into the gym, but by the time I'm done the meat and potatoes of my workout, I just want to leave.

Am I the only on who could live without curls, kickbacks, and leg extensions?

I'm with you there, I hate them too. Come to think of it, I do very few really. A couple of bicep/tricep exercises and that about it. Rarely do ham curls/leg extensions.

Yes mate, on shoulders, biceps and quads and hams, mainly because I don`t feel any great stimulation on them from the Press, Deads and Squats(even with a lower weight and stricter form).

As above for me actually. I love lat raises. I absolutely hate bicep curls for some reason.

Same here, once im done with compounds im usually so battered i just want to pass out. But i believe the more you stress the muscle, the better it will grow. Isolations are great for this purpose, as you can do them even after you are burnt out, I honestly believe it helps growth. Or at least thats what i keep telling myself!

Personally I think this testicle tenderness is due to my recent return to AM cardio. I do it naked on a recumbent bike and my gonads tend to flop about.

Hate is probably too strong a word, but I prefer the compound movements as they're much more fun. I don't do many isolation exercises anyway

Curls I find a bit dull, lat raises too. I quite like shrugs, but that's because the weight is heavy

One of the reasons I don't have a dedicated arms day is because I'd almost certainly be bored doing loads of curls and whatnot

No i dont, i hate isolations with a passion as all it does is give me an insane pump and restricts my ROM when im trying to train

Squats, Deads, benching, rowing, pullups/chins and dips are all anyone ever needs

My routine is built around push/pull/leg compounds and then I have a day for power movements like cleans/push press and then go onto isolate my shoulders, biceps and triceps.

Raises
Curls
Tricep bench dips or pushdowns if I'm in a gym.

I don't do any isolations, except curls every couple of months to keep my gunz polished
