i really need them gone now, ive had a problem for a while and need someone to tell me how to get rid, sensible answers please i need to sort the back garden out in the summer but i have tried poision, two types traps humane traps them noisy things that go into your plug socket i found a dead one on the side the other week (about a week or two ago) but there is at least one other (its just run into my lounge and hid its self) im a bit desperate as i just want them gone, theres no food around (except the poision) one type of poision they dont touch anymore and the killer traps dont work [:@]

You can get sticky pads that you leave normal food on and as they stop to eat it they become stuck and cant move. Works well but you then have to deal with a live rodent that ultimately has to die as it cant be removed from the sticky pad. I know a guy who did this with a rat and when he found it, the rat tried everything to bite him as its knew what was happening. He ended up flipping the pad over and stabbing it with his screwdriver until the rat stopped moving.... Sick i know but they do work. Dont know what they are called or where to buy them from tho.

also..... they are definately mice and not rats and a question, do mice get the runs? just looked behind my sofa and i have a load of brown stuff, looks nothing like mice poo so i think its either twigs or the remains of the trotts [&:]

cheers red man i will look at them [:)] to be honest it goes back to my kerr616 days when i had one, i was going to catch it in a humane trap and buy a tank, etc as it was a free pet then i got sick of it keeping on coming in, etc then a few weeks ago it died, it was half dead when i left for work and when i came in it was well dead the other day i walked into my kitchen and caught the thing, it started running round on the worktop so the nearest thing i had to hand was a cleaner containing bleach, i tried to spray it with that and it ran behind the units i like animals and that but i would happily stab it with a scredriver, it is in my lounge somewere watching me i am armed with a dumbell handle and a torch, believe me i wish i was joking i just want to go to bed [:(] im also paranoid theres millions of them

nice one mate, so you'd basically leave it there for about two days to die thats mad the rat was trying to bite him though [&:]

He said the little fooker must have know what was coming and instinctively tried to get him... Bad job like but it beats sitting up with a dumbell and a torch! hahaha [:D] I remember your previous threads when you said it was like a pet aswell.... Just get rid mate or you'll probably get more. Oh and i wouldnt leave it, id probably take it outside and axe it in half. Probably the safest and most humane to kill it (if there is one) as its over quick.

yeah i want it dead and would have happilly burnt it with bleach and fire the other day the thing is i KNOW if it wanted to it could get upstairs as it gets under a 1mm crack under the door out of the kitchen into the lounge it has also been on a surface that is 3 foot off the ground oh well off to bed, at least there may be a rat in my bedroom for the first time in a few weeks though [;)] the previous owner had cats so they must come in now i have got rid of the smell of cats, i refuse to get a cat though as i dont like them [:)]

there must be some way of removing it from the sticky mat why not catch it and then set it loose somewhere else if you dont want to kill it.
