Hello everyone,

I'm 24 and just started working out about 45 days ago. Here are my stats:

I'm 6'2" (185cm) tall.

Before training

Diet: 2300Kcal/day
Weight: 148lbs or 67Kg

After 45 days of training

Diet: 4000Kcal/day (it takes a lot of effort to maintain it)
Weight: 161lbs or 73Kg
Gain: around 13lbs (6kg)

I'm having muscle gains like I've never had before, but I've also gained a bit of fat. I notice that my belly is not as lean as it was before, it's not an outrageous amount of fat, but it makes me worried because I was always lean and I don't want it to get worse. I have a few questions:

1) Is it time to cut down the calories and change my training to lose this fat? Or should I focus on muscle gain now and reserve fat loss training/diet for a later stage?
2) Will I be able to burn this fat later without losing everything I've gained?

I will appreciate your inputs!

by the weight gain i'd say that you probably need less calories that your consuming. If your not bothered by the fat gain keep going and gain some size and stregth, just cut when you eiher reach your goals or you don't like the way you look anymore. You can and probably will lose the fat with the correct diet and training plan and with a good diet you won't lose everything you've gained. Have you read the diet and nutrition articles mate?

Cut back a little. Try to gain a bit more slowly, and then monitor and adjust accordingly after a week.

If you add weight faster, more will be fat. So you will have to cut harder to get rid of more fat.

Thanks for the tips folks, I also had the impression I was eating (actually drinking) too much.

This is good news though - I'm not a very hungry person, cutting down is totally welcome (and good for my wallet too).
