my leg day consists of 3 main excersizes.

Squats
Calf Raises
Stiff Leg Deadlifts

is this suffice enough for a good workout...dont get me wrong i've been hurting all weekend from friday - so its definately doing something, if anything too much lol

are there alternatives to SLDL's it just doesnt feel right to me...but could very well be my form

Freaktoids Journal for my full routine etc

cheers guys

I see from your journal you do 4x8 for calves, for me that would not be enough mine need to be around the 15-20 rep mark, i think you will find that to be the norm.

The rest looks good enough to me, does it seem to be working for you?

Seeing as your giving Legs their own day, I'd add in something like Single Leg Press 2-3x8 (each leg), after the SLDLs. Will finish off Legs nicely, and I find its a good combination of exercises (no isolations either). Either way, its a good combination.
As for Calfs, you could do a mix of low and high reps, and find what works for you.

SLDLs - keep the weight light(ish) for a while and learn to pull with your hamstrings, not your back, and focus on feeling it.

Romanian deadlifts are a decent alternative. Personally I feel they're safer as the back is kept straight throughout

If you're worried about your SLDL form perhaps video it and post it up - folks will be able to see how you're doing them and give constructive criticism

You could look into leg curls, I find these are good for me, but running out of weight on the machine now.

some excellent feed back guys...

i've seen many videos on youtube etc showing form of SLDL, guess i'll keep the weight down as advised.

everything is working great for me...legs were hammered this weekend! my main worry was the SLDLs though nice bloke in gym told me that i was going to shot my back...but was reluctant to tell me how to do it correctly...

will perhaps include some curls and the single leg press also.

thanks all

No problem, try doing SLDLs with a straight back, thats what I do. Much better than bending your back.
