Morning lads.

I think the other journal has run it's course now. I no longer see myself as having an alcohol problem but I know that I will always struggle to control it. More weekend binges rather than day in day out drinking. I will be posting in the Alcohol Abstinance thread to keep that in check so I though it was time I had a more training orientated journal as that is why we are all members here at the end of the day. (Neb aside)

I am going to be training 5 sets of 5 reps to get myself back into the swing of things and then re-assess in a few months time.

Monday - Back and Legs

Wednesday - Shoulders and Chest

Friday - Bi's and Tri's

The days may vary but the main priority is getting the three sessions in regardless. Cardio will be done at the end of each session, what kind depends on my mood.

Have creatine in the house but will not start that for a few weeks.

As usual all motivational posts, ideas and comments are welcomed. Training is an integral part of keeping my life on track so this journal will be a big help.

I'd be inclined to do Chest/Tri/Shoulder, Back/Bi and Legs if you're doing a 3 day split bud - Back and Legs in one session is monstrous volume.

Alternatively if you're looking to just get back into things a full body might be handy.

R3261's journal would be worth posting in if you wanted to go down that route.

Thanks mate will take a look. I used to do full body as my normal routine a while back and may give it a go for the first few weeks just to get back into it as you mentioned.

Similar problem as me re the ale mate. I can go quite happily without the stuff then I'll have a couple on a Friday night which leads well into double figures!

I'm just gonna switch to 5 * 5 too.

I agree with AK although I now do shoulders after legs, I can use much more weight and more volume when they're fresh....see how you go though

Cheers Neb mate. Looking forward to just getting the training back on track now. I am so much more happy and confident when training. Gives me the untouchable feeling that alcohol does but without the liver pains
