| gehhn -> Carb cycling: Fiberous vs. complex/simple (May 5 2008 14:46:58) | Another carb cycling question, as I am trying to lose some bodyfat for a trip to Florida... Days 1-3: Only eat fiberous carbs (carrots, broccolli, cauli, cabbage, etc.) along with my protein sources, of course. Eat some complex carbs pre-workout and some simple post on lifting days. Day 4: Load up on complex carbs--400 grams. Repeat cycle. My basic question is: Do fiberous carbs add to your glycogen stores the way simple and complex do? Will they add to my BF if I eat too much of them? I'm under the impression that they don't, and that they actually cost you calories since they are hard for the body to digest. Thanks! |
