Hello to all of you, as you can see im new to the muscle talk forum but ive been reading it for a while and thought it was about time i joined.

Im after a bit of advice if anyone can help, ive been bulking up now for about 4 months and thought it was about time I started cutting try get rid of some of the fat round the belly and get some definition. Im currently working away from home all week so its hard to eat good meals for lack of cooking facility’s in the Travelodge, could anyone give me advice on meals I could have (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

firstly you need to get out of the routine of 3 meals a day, your metabolism will work alot better if you feed every 3 hours roughly.

very strict cutting diet tailor it to your own needs.

OP can you take something like a MRP powder with you in between the meals you may get at the hotel?

You best drop the attitude [&:]. So your basically saying starving yourself of protein for hours on end is a good thing and a great way to keep your metabolism fired up for optimal fat burning? yes calories in and calories out is going to be the same at the end of the day but he wants to cut and maintain muscle mass! imho three meals aday is not ideal! . Trust me it isnt 'copy and paste gospel' as you put it! When i started learning about nutrition and tightened up my diet and ate every few hours that when my physic started to change for the better!

you dont starve yourself of anything. 3-4 larger meals vs 6 or more smaller ones will make no difference what so ever as long as enough calories are consumed at the right times. your physique changed for the better because you now eat better, not because you eat more often. As for my attitude i wasnt giving you any, apologies if it was, its just a little annoying when people state things then end it in IMHO or IMO thus making whatever they say not based on fact and making it look like they pulled it from the air. I highly recommend reading Ultimate Diet 2 by Lyle Mcdonald, also join his forums if you wanna learn some truly informative stuff about the human metabolism. Also whats ideal and what works are very good on paper but real world results are what count, keep things simple, if it works for him then it works, same with everyone else who eats 6+ times a day

And we all know Lyle Mcdonald is a knowledgable guy when it comes to nutrition etc and ive read Ultimate Diet 2! whats your point? [&:]

trust the advice from get-bigger and have a good look at the other meal plan articles then tailor it to your own needs.

as for the other two members "just let them get on with their heated discussion", which i am sure is helping you as a new member loads

Ultimate diet 2 only has 4 meals, yet people get cut to bits on it without losing muscle on it. The carbups have 6+ meals due to sheer volume of food but the majority of the diet is a meagre 4 meals with no modern day things like a after weights shake.

The only thing that lowers metabolic rate in a healthy person is weight loss.

So nige it would make no difference what so ever to my cutting plan if i ate my whole days intake in 2 meals instead of say 5 or 6?

Yes, that's it. Many people have better appetite control with regular small meals. However, for some people, 2 meals a day (intermittent fasting) works just fine. Horses for courses.

to the member known as philr, this is a debating forum to discuss and debate all angles of what works for each individual, im sure if you really wanted to help instead of sitting on the fence you couldve shown him the link to the articles

Im sorry i just dont buy into that! on paper for a non bodybuilding person maybe, but not for a bodybuilder looking to hold onto hard earned muscle and lose fat at the same time.
