From Page 2quote:
ORIGINAL: Lord Monkcheese A few observations from reading this. There's a huge amount of information around what you're consuming but zero information about your training, other than you're planned training split. It would be more beneficial to see the exercises, weights used and progression made. LMC From Page 9quote:

You're anal to the point of developing an obsession with food and seem to post up every morsel that goes in your mouth yet show no sign of actually training. When is your next weight training session? You need to focus on writing up the session with the same enthusiasm as you're writing up your diet. For your many years training you appear to look as if you're a relative new-comer to the gym and simply having 2000 calories or 1800 calories isn't going to change the way you look. You need to start working on the whole package - weights, diet, CV. I've never seen so many members try and offer so much advice only to have it fall on deaf ears. You'd be good having a look through Jack5r's journal - http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_2123440/tm.htm He's young and new to weight training but isn't fannying around trying to work out the best macronutrient ratio and timing of each meal or anything else that quite frankly is pointless at your stage of training. He just eats, trains, rests and his progress pics and weight progression is testament to the hard work he's put in to pursuing his training aims. I thought I'd back out of this journal on Page 2 because it seemed you were ignoring everyone. Please prove me wrong and heed some of mine and the members posting on here's advice. LMC

Great advice by LMC. I note in each update to my journal (every training day, 4 days a week) how my strength was. I note down each exercise done, and note each set and weight lifted and reps. I think initially there is a fear that people will criticise you if you're not lifting as much as they are. Hell it's happened to me, but this is where the gift of ignorance comes into play, and a focus on your own training. Ideally you should never stop progressing in your weight training. Every week you should be at least trying to lift a heavier weight, or go for an extra rep. And if you're absolutely stuck on a certain exercise then try something different, such as 5X5 or a drop set, or a superset. Hell I've got chicken legs, and after posting pics of them it was quite rightly pointed out that I needed to do something about them. Even squatting 100kg for 10reps wasn't doing anything to them, so I attacked them another way; a 50rep drop set, starting at 60kg and ending at the bar. Straight away I noticed an increase in mass, and posted pictures clearly showing it. Note everything down, every weight, every rep, for every exercise. This way we can analyse what you're doing and give help if necessary.

Yeah sorry about that i was going to post my every workout as i said i would at the start of my journal but i simply didnt have th etime to write up my whole routine, set, reps etc. But i assure you i am progressing every week, if i exercise doesnt work for me like it has been i change it, there no problems with me training, ive got your advice and now have to put my diet right. I plan to bulk now for ages with a little bit of cardio (prob 2-3 times a week for 20mins a session) and to nail far better diet than my current one. I plan on getting some liquid egg whites from MP today to help me up my protein intake on a daily basis.

Bench BB = 60kg - 2reps D'bell = 25.5kg - 8 reps Squat = 90kg - 5 reps Deadlift = only 40kg atm due to the injury to my back, currently doing back exercises and seeing physio, so heavy deadlift is out of the question atm Shoulder D'bell Press - 20kg - 5 reps

I feel my chest is prob by far my weakest part of my body, how much should i aim to add the benching each month? I can do 2 reps on 60kg atm, adding 2.5kg be ok each month so next month i should be able to do 62.5kg for 2 reps, is it stupid have aims or should i just progress as normal

You should try and progress every workout mate. I used to alternate reps and weight. Say if you were doing bench; Week 1, 40kgx10 week 2, 40kgx12 week 3, 42.5kgx10 week 4, 42.5kgx12

id say at the moment sort a basic diet (that you dont fret over everyday recording it by the gram in your journal) and focus on lifting propley. no offence but for 3 years training it is not good weight to shift, which is telling me youve done something wrong in the way you train. but there is no way to say for sure untill you show weights and reps per session.
