shefjam -> platform deadlifts (May 5 2008 19:32:51)

anyone on here do platform deadlifts to improve their deadlift max?

I worked up to 170 for 2 comfortable reps, no belt on the platforms today, never been above 140kg on the deadlift on the floor without a belt, so this was a test of ab strength also.

Plan to do these every other week and go heavier and heavier on them.

Platform deadlifts are a good un. Try em out and see who they fit in with your deadlift.

I have done similar. At the moment train the deadlift with the following

1) Work up to one heavy top set
2) Back of sets
3) Rotate an assistance lift (SLDL, Reverse band, pin pulls, platform pulls)
