Daari -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 5 2008 22:54:19)

ECA

Abdul -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 5 2008 23:13:24)

Another vote for ECA

firest0rm -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 5 2008 23:14:43)

ALCAR, TTA.

Abdul -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 5 2008 23:15:32)

TTA?

CoNs -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 6 2008 7:23:36)

quote:

TetradecylThioacetic Acid (TTA) is another PPARalpha activator [7]. TTA works in conjunction with OEA in increasing the oxidation of fatty acids and decreasing the storage of fatty acids. TTA has been shown to increase insulin sensitivity by increasing hepatic fat oxidation and ketogenesis while draining fatty acids from the blood and extrahepatic tissues. Increased insulin sensitivity means less insulin needs to be secreted to accomplish a given task. this is beneficial while dieting because insulin is anti-lipolyic.

I used Hot Rox by Biotest for a month. It was scary how fast I lost weight...

firest0rm -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 6 2008 9:22:01)

I've read pretty bad things about hot rox, but if it worked for you then no one can argue. I'm no expert but I think there are different kinds of fat retention, so I would presume different "fat burners" would work for different people. ALCAR and TTA products always seem to work well for me, ECA didn't. Recreate is also working well, but more as an allround supplement. The biggest dose of TTA is in a product called BURN3D which I've ran, but I've got 2 bottles of DCP here which is a lower dose, but I've bought bulk TTA powder to cap and go with it.

just make sure you take extra potassium firestorm to prevent painful cramp's which have been reported on higher dose TTA

hot rox extreme is VERY popular. Not tried it myself, but obviously alot of people swear by it.

ChanceUK -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 6 2008 12:36:25)

Hot Rox was a real No-Go for me.

Any time I take it I get incredible indigestion, which is not something I ever suffer from otherwise.
Literally a horrible burning sensation in my throat and chest and I feel really rough for a couple of hours.

Quite honestly, no other supplement Ive ever taken has so obvious a side-effect no me as Hot Rox did.

Of course, I may just have a personal reaction to them, so feel free to try. But I'll never take them again.

Chamber -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 6 2008 13:05:21)

Yeah the sides of Hot Rox were pretty bad. You defintely knew you were taking it.

I had the burning throat thing a couple of times, but found that was just from where I didnt swallow it properly.

But all in all I was impressed with its results. I used it for a few weeks at the start of the year, obviously had my diet in check and did alot of roadwork. But I dropped almost a stone in weight. I think I went from 13 something to just under 12 and a half? Something like that.

Which was great for me as I was in ok shape, but unhappy with the gut. So that weight loss gave me a good platform to start training again, without having to worry about the fat too much. (although im still not happy [;)])

I've ran it before mate, in BURN3D, didn't get cramps on it myself.

STomlinson23 -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 7 2008 0:59:31)

plain old hydroxcut worked wonders for me, only bad thing i found was lots of water = peeing every 30mins

macrophage -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 7 2008 6:15:10)

Pure Ephedrine and caffeine stack
Thermorexin

macrophage -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 7 2008 6:18:01)

TTA has been linked to several cases of rhabdomyolysis. Though that aside the bloating and lethargy it can cause outweigh any metabolic benefits. Sesamin/sesapure, EGCG, and Fish oil all have varying pparalpha agonist impacts without the side effects of TTA.

The bloating subsides after about 2 weeks, and this is caused by liberated fatty acids etc waiting to be shat out. As for the other things you mention, no idea what it even means, but TTA is far far better at fat loss than fish oil, at least in my experience.

Celt -> RE: Best fat burner supplement (May 7 2008 9:12:14)

Anyone got any links to some credible studies on TTA? Sounds interesting.
