Have some lower back pain which I got from deadlifts or rows in the gym.Just went to heavy too soon.Anyway I had basically went away and was still resting my back but me and friends went to the driving range last week and now my back is killing me again. Its on the lower left hand side and its sore when im sitting down and lifting my legs up onto the recliner and when im getting up.Basically seems whenever im stretching my lower back.Anyone have any ideas what it could be.My doctor said leave it and it will get better so basically he didnt have a clue.

Tendons??

Sounds a bit like the problem i have, and that is something to do with the tendons. I was told to use ice on it and deep freeze gel.

Try going to a chiropractor, works wonders!

Well mine has re-occured twice! But maybe more frequent visits to the chiropractor would help prevent this from happening.

Is there a directory of good chiropracters or will I just use Yell.com.Why goto a chiropractor and not a physio out of curiosity.Any gels you reccomend?Ive a boots near my work.My back is more annoying than anything.Would rather not be taking painkillers.

How much would a chiropractor session cost?
Cheers

usually they charge £50 for the 1st consultation session, entails admin work and a look/check of your back.
sessions are usually £20-30 afterwards.

i use the word 'usually' a fair bit as they all have different charges.

The gel i use is just called 'deep freeze cold gel'.
As for why not a physio, i dont know tbh, someone just recomended me to see a chiropracter, so i did.
Prices given above are about spot on.

Sounds like a pulled muscle.

I've had it happen twice - first time took 10-14 days to fully heal, second time about 7.

Went on yell and checked out a few.Found one that is £32 for the consultation and £24 for each appointment after that.Seems resonable enough compared to the £50 quoted above.Need to get a day off work now once I get an appointment sorted.
