Hi All,

New to this website so apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I wouldn't say I'm new to weight training but I'm certainly no expert. I've been going to the gym for a few years now but it has been very on and off and the cv and diet haven't been very strict either to say the least. I'm currently wanting to get into better shape (increased muscle, lower fat) so I decided to get an excercise bike and some dumbells and a bench.

One querie I've got though is regarding my body shape as I seem to have womens' hips

I know I've got a lot of fat to lose but is there anything I can do to get rid of the egg timer shape or is it something I'm stuck with?

Thanks in advance

Do you do deadlifts ? They can help thicken the midsection.

And you dont have that much bf to lose. Keep it up

Funny you should mention that, I attempted some deadlifts the other week with some light dumbells but think I pulled my back a bit so haven't done it since. Its an excercise I've never really done because I can't even manage to touch my toes without bending my knees so find it hard doing them without bending my back. Maybe the stretching side is something I should be working on.

Thats the sort of thing I'm wanting to know though, excercises that will fill out the midsection so cheers
