I was watching 'The Departed' whilst doing my early morning solid state cardio today. A good film no doubt, but I cannot stand Ray Winstone as an actor.

His accents are appalling and I find him exceptionally wooden. He wasn't too bad in 'Sexy Beast' but I saw his portrayal of Henry VIII sometime ago and was also struck by how one dimensional he was.

I've never cared much for Leonardo Di Caprio as an actor either, although he's not actually too bad in 'The Departed'. Although I have serious issues with any man other than myself, who is, or has ever slept with Giselle.

That's just not cricket.

Also Keanu Reeves can't act at all, unless you include 'Bill and Ted' where he was actually rather good.

I agree that his Sweeney Todd was good, he made it his own. I still think he has been quite shockingly bad in other things though eg The Departed and Henry VIII.

There's a British Film called 'Face' where he starred with Robert Carlysle where he was quite good, but again that was his ubiquitous dodgy c0ckney geezer act.

Maybe...maybe, between the great Brokeback Moutain cleaning up (even tho the ass fell out of it in the takings), Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo and what will be the timeless classic that will forever be remember'd, Dukes of Hazzard, it was an un-usually tough year.

What about xXx lol, he's done some right stinkers. He was good in both pf and Jacky Brown, but never seen him do anything else worthwhile.

another one to add would be Scarlett Johansson, attractive, but nothing else.

Ewan McGregor.

He seems like a really nice bloke but in films he's never believable as the character he's playing. He's always Ewan McGregor in costume reading some lines.
