i think im too skinny (in terms of not having any muscle at all) but also fat, as my belly has no definition whatsoever, and my sides are quite fat as i have always been fat as a child .. and the excess fat is really annoying me.. so i think i should go for a lean bulk? opinions needed please .. i finally learned how to send pics from my mobile via infrared, so here r sum pics to help: [img=http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/5593/dsc00474fi6.th.jpg] [img=http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/2884/dsc00473qi7.th.jpg] im 16years old, 80kilos, 1,83/4cm .. been training for 3/4months now

morning: 100g oats + 1 banana + 10 white grapes + 300semi skmd milk 250g cottage cheese or 4 whole eggs scrambled lunch: 4 slices granary bread with 100/120g turkey breast + orange juice pre-work out: 100g oats + 4 eggs or cottage cheese PWO: 70g dex + 35g whey PPWO: 100g or so wholewheat penne + tin of tuna + olive oil before bed: tin of tuna or egg whites or cottage cheese or chicken breast or something similar + olive oil i know it is lacking on O-3.. but the whole bbing thing is not on the top of my list right now.. however i always eat meals high on carbs/protein/fats.. try to eat at least 4 of those meals listed above everyday.. but cant always have more than 4.. also the $$ is a BIG factor for me.. as i pay my for whole diet and my part-time earnings working at dominos are not good at all

It depends what you want mate. I'm quite small but decided to cut since I had the end of football season taking up most activity as well as nursing a boxers fracture, which kept me from doing weights (still not doing any yet). To be honest, I've lost a stone - almost all fat and I feel great for it. Stomach is showing through well, love handles are being decimated and my general fitness is soaring as well as my clothing is looking far better on me. I plan to start bulking soon, maybe in 3-4 weeks time giving my hand more time to heal but the cutting process has taught me a few valuable lessons in dieting and how I can keep my little muscle that I have whilst eating into the fat reserves. Not only has cutting made me feel and look better, it has given me the motivation to push on for a good clean bulk and I can't wait to get into that. If you are unhappy with your fat, then shred it. If not, go on a bulk. From your pics, you don't look fat. Either way, let us know what you aim to do when you decide as we'd love to hear your progress.

Brazilianbloke, best of luck mate. I'm hoping to go on a lean bulk myself vey soon. The extramuscle you build could help you lose the excess fat easier in the future anyhow. Samcim, that's some progress over two years!

Some say bulk, i say cut. You'll get gains when you start training, you'll get abs for the sunny days ahead and you'll be leaner ready to start a bulk in a few weeks. However, it comes down to what you want

However, it comes down to what you want I agree with this. I've lost some muscle recently, which I'm desperatly trying to get back but in the process I've gained some fat. So now I'm cutting for the summer. It doesn't bother me if I end up a bit skinny, as it'll give me a good base to lean bulk. Plus I've been bigger before and muscle memory deffintely exists. I just can't stand carrying fat.
