How am I best using it? anyone got a chart with the different training zones on it? ggoing to wear it doing my steady state 4 mile run tommorow morning, what % of my MHR should I be aiming for for fat loss?

What if I do hill sprints etc? how high should I try and raise it?

55/65% of max for fat loss.

For hill sprints you should be hitting them hard so could see upto 90% of your max heart rate

A good indication of increased/decreased fitness level is to see the speed your heart rate drops after completing the exercise. As you become fitter the heart rate will drop quicker to resting level

Few footballers I know says they had their Max heart rate calculated by doing th ebleep test and the peak number reached, is that the most accurate way of finding out your maximum heart rate?

Well a general formula is 220bpm - age = Max heart rate. Mine should be 202 but have only reached 190 before and i was flat out and heart racing.

How old are you and whats your fitness like?

when i did hill sprints i got it over my MHR - that is good or bad ,im not sure !!

i like my HRM - testing resting heart rate ,using it for steady state stuff and seeing how much i can bust myself on HIIT !!

According to ACSM guidelines, the method of 220-Age has shown to have a +/-20 difference, which is really significant if trying to get to get an accurate number. The best way to find it is by performing a MHR test
