After reading through peoples journals i thought id start my own. More so i could keep track of progress for myself, but also were people could offer help and advice and hopefully some words of encouragement!

I'm 24 and around 5' 8" tall.
I have been training for the past month, don't get all that much time for a proper gym but i have some equipment in my spare room. This mostly consists of bench with barbell holder thing on it, fly attachments and leg raise thing, barbell and dumbells, and a (fairly) good selection of weights.

For the past month i have been basically following a pull/push/leg routine.

Pull:
Deadlift 5x5
Chin ups 5x5
Bentover rows 5x5
Barbell curls 3x8
Dumbell curls 3x8

Push:
Flat bench 5x5
Military press 3x8
Chair dips 5x15
Overhead dumbell extention 3x10

Legs:
Squat 3x8
Weighted leg raise (thing on end of bench) 3x8

I know i need to add more to my legs but need to figure out what i can do with my limited equipment.

For the last 3 weeks my diet has been pretty good getting in around 6 meals a day and eating around every 3 hours. Mostly eating good clean foods using ideas that i have gotten from the diet and nutrition sections on MT. I will post up my diet soon.

06/05/2008 - According to the scales i weigh in at 11.6 stone / 73.9kg. This is pretty good (i think!) as i have been trying to bulk for the last four weeks. I last weighed myself around four / five weeks ago and i came in at 10.4 stone / 66.04 kg.

In the last month i have noticed little gains here and there, very slight definition around the chest and arms etc. I didn't think to take any pictures before i started to train but basically there i had no muscle definition whatsoever and what meat i did have was just flabby! I will take and post some pictures in the next couple of days so i can track my progress over the upcoming months.

Please feel free to comment, rip my routine to shreds suggest changes etc, i am here to learn!

After seeking some advice around my routine i have added some slight changes. The new routines looks like this:

PULL:
Deadlift
Chin ups
Bent over rows
Barbell curls

PUSH:
Flat bench press
Military press
Dips
Close grip bench press

LEGS:
Squats
Lunges
SL deadlift
Calf raise

Going to run with this for the next couple of months or so and see how i feel. As for reps, im going to keep mixing it up 5x5 3x8 etc to keep my body guessing.

New routine went well yesterday.
Managed 3x8 deadlift at 55kg
chins at 5x5 not weighted yet as it was a struggle to get them all out.
bent over rows 5x5 at 45 kg
finished off with some barbell curls 3x8 at 27.5kg

Now i know these weights are not heavy compared to some of you guys on here but we all have to start somewhere! Ive mainly been trying to get the form correct for everything and do it right rather than load up the weight and do it wrong or damage myself!
I felt worked after the deadlifts and rows though!!!!!!!
