Hmm This is really intriguing me now, I'm gonna have to try a little T-3 with my next cycle. Does it really have such a noticable effect at such a low dose ran throught a cycle ?

Would T4 have the same effect if i ran it at about 200mg per day? Also should the dosage be split?

T3 is peanuts to start with mate. ...last time i asked for a 100 T3 from the dealer and he told me "thats a bag of peanuts then please!" nah, seriously, T3 is so cheap i wouldnt even of thought that a quid or so saving would even be taken into account cos thats all it can be surely

Basic line is that your thyroid produces T3 (levothyronine) in response to your brain producing TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone). T3 is converted in the cells into the metabolically active version T4 (through the binding of iodine, etc). How much TSH you produce is dependent on how much fT4 (free T4, i.e. unbound) is in your blood stream. If you take T3 as a supplement, it raises your fT4 levels, which in turn lowers TSH so your body naturally produces less T3 of its own. Does this make T3 supplementation pointless? No - T3 has a very short half life (just a few hours) so the bodies normal TSH levels are quickly restored. There are opinions expressed that long-term, high T3 (or T4) supplementation can damage the thyroid and you would end up having to take thyroid supplements for the rest of your life, however I have yet to read a scientific paper that supports this. Where damage has occured to the thyroid and been documented has been from high iodine supplementation (possibly overuse of kelp supplements), or from over-flouridation of water. If anyone decides to use more than 25mcg per day of T3 (which I don't advise), then they must be spaced out even throughout the day. Take them all in the morning and by mid afternoon you will likely experience a huge energy crash. Alternatively, 100mcg of T4 (thyroxine sodium) has roughly the same effect, but a much longer half-life thereby keeping the blood levels of fT4 more stable. Hope that helps

i'm beginning to wonder if this thread is such a good idea now hehehe quote:
