ITS TIME

07 May 2008 21:48
It's time I tried to cut down to 8% for the summer hols and so I am looking for a little adivse. My pics are on the first page of my journal journal. (Sig) I would say I am about 12% bf atm. I can post up my general diet but I would prefer if you guys could give me a fresh diet without looking at my current one so they you are not just saying drop this here, add this here. I think I will get better opinions this way. I can post up my diet abit later when I have some opinions and we can take it from there. My stats: Body weight - 65kg Height - 5"6 Body fat - 12% (Guess) I have kept the same bf% through out my entire bulk and this is why I think this cut may be more complex that I first thought. I have maintained my bf while gaining well, dropping the carbs and size of meals slightly when fat has increased a little. This may be more pyschological than actualy going up and down in bf though. Opinions and tips please.
Age - 18 Bench - 95kg (at 62kg) Deadlift - 120kg (at 62kg) Squat - 100kgx5 (at 62kg) Front Squat - 92.5kg (at 62kg)

As you're under 15% BF, have you considered Lyle McD's UD2?

Because you won thave the time nor the dedication needed to see it through. Plus with a baby on your hands it aint something i would recommend Think contest prep each week, carb depletion then carbing up then gruelling workouts each week for 8 weeks. Plus you need to be at 15% and under to start it. If you think regular cutting is hard, haha you aint seen nothing yet, it does get results though

Well hopefully, regular cutting will do the trick. I'm still curious to know what the actual diet consists of. Maybe for future use?

Nigeepoo - Is it a book? I don't have the time to read one atm as I'm working hard for exams. Fatboyginger - Whey, creatine, l-luecine, omega caps, multi vits. Mick - One of the reason I started out was to look good for the summer. I don't look as good as i want to and this is down to my bf. I will not loose sight of my original goals. I want to be cut down to 8% in 5-6 weeks. Possible? I need some help though please. I guess what I am saying is can someone lay a diet out for me, looking at my stats and working out how many cals I should be taking to reach 8% in 6 weeks with minimal muscle loss.

Right now no as I am too busy with art and graphics coursework but that will be finished on wednesday so I only have to concentrate of maths exams. So on wednesday I can start cardio. What do you reccomend? Why is cardio more benefitial than simply lowering cals btw, scientific break down if possible mate? (for fat loss only, not fitness) After the exams, mid june (when I would like to be 8%) I will be fighting twice a week.

Body will take the path of least resistance, if you eat above maintenance and create your deficit from exercise you tend to not suffer from the sides of reducing cals too much tends to bring, just makes for a more pleasant cut To get down to 8% mate its gonna be hard and you are goin to have to do something special and that aint gonna be easy but to get down to 10% should be achievable Just add in 2 45 min steady state cardio sessions per week and adjust from there.

Ok sounds good. I may add more cardio than that though. Best thing to eat before and after cardio with fat loss as my goal? Diet? Water? Watching a program on a bodybuilder the other week and she was dehydrating her self in order to get down to a very low bf. Yet in Arnie's encyclopedia of bodybuilding it says that I should be drinking even more water..

yes but the water manipulation can only be held for so long, they also carb deplete and load and youre looking at 24 hours tops Diet stays the same for now, use cardio as a your tweaker I dont think you can get down to 8% by mid june if im honest mate but 10% possibly Cardio, do it whenever mate as long as it gets done

Ok. Just did 20 mins skipping, squats jumps, sit ups. Not ideal cardio but was keen to getting going. I guess I can just do 20 mins skipping twice a day as a break from as a break from work/revision.

I read UD2, its cruel. After reading half the book, i was ready to go...then i saw the depletion workouts and everything else. I'll be trying ROCHO, TKD, CKD, starvation, amputation etc before that 65KG 12% 7.8kg of fat. 1kG/week... 3 weeks left before june arrives. 5kg fat at 57.2LBM puts you at around ~8%. However your taking A-levels, so focus on those. The girls really wont care if you 8% or 10%, but universitys will care about those pretty letters on your results sheets. So don't diet to hard, i'd prob eat good hearty meals for exam day too. good luck
My posts are all my opinion and based on current knowledge/understanding.
