Well i've found my way onto the weight loss board, Coz i think before anything i need lose weight. Or alot of the fat i have on my body. Atm i weigh 20st, 19 years old, I'm broad shoulded, abit of a belly.. and apprently according to people at the gym i have great potential. My cousin who use to be a body building has been guiding me through things at the gym, But i think before i go into heavy weight training which i feel im at already i need to burn the fat off. I've gone abit crazy on buying things thinking they'll solved my problem within weeks, Which i know is not going to happen. Past month i've bought - Prolabs Cuts 3, BSN Cellmass, BSN No Xsplode, BSN nitrix and Some whey protein. I know i've prob brought the complete oposite that would help me in this goal but i got abit carried away. My diet atm is kinda ****e, I stuck to a full protein diet of tuna and steak for a while but i know that prob didn't help in the weight department? Really im at my whits end because i feel like im not archieving anything atm. Any help and advice would be grealy apreciated. Thanks Solarnotts

You should post up your diet and let the pro's have a look and they will give you great advice, cardio will help speed up fat loss as well as weight training a few times a week. You should aim between 1- 2lbs weight loss per week anymore than this then your more likely to be the fat back on again quicker.

Thanks Solarnotts 20st yeah you need to get rid of fat. post your diet and training routine, also how long you been training why are you wasting money on xsplode and nitrix? the way your talking sounds like you aint been training long dont need that stuff as you gonna gain so much in first few years.

Atm i go training 4 times a week. Start off with cardio.. But problem is running.. I get a ripping pain in the front of my leg.. So i have to take breaks.. i mix it up. Rowing machine.. then running machine. Then i do weights. Which depends on what body part im on at the time. Ive been going training with my cousin who was a body builder back in his day and was apprently massive and he knows what hes on about. But after reading up round here he doesnt. I bought the BSN stuff because i thought it would be a quick fix but its not. My diet atm is a load of crap really. Would like some recormendations on what to take and what to eat. Thanks guys.

Sounds like the main problem is your diet. Try and sort this out first. Some basic ideas for you to get started: Try and get a protein source with each meal Eat fibrous & strachy carbs Make sure your diet includes healthy fats and efa's I'd suggest eating every 3 hours or so (this is mainly to stop you getting overly hungery and therefore overeating) Make sure your in a calorie deficit. Use the above points and try and make a diet for yourself. Then post it up and we can make comments / suggetions. In terms of training. I believe its better to do weights before cardio if done during the same workout. (I cant remember why this is i'm sure someone else can explain). Also you could try to do your cardio am prior to eating if possible?

ORIGINAL: SolarNotts My diet atm is a load of crap really. Expand on this please. Can you post up a typical day's diet, like what did you eat/drink yesterday or today - with rough portion sizes and timings. I suspect your diet is at fault here. It is crucial.

Also what is going on between the hours of 10.30am and 4pm...do you not eat?? I do not like that diet plan in the slightest.
