Well hello to all 1st.This is a section that I never post in.
basically I have a good friend of mine who came along to watch me in a bodybuilding show recently and now shes wants to train and hopefully compete in 2 yrs time.
I've helped her with her diet the past few months and training wise she was doing a 30 min circut style weights sessions. Maybe 6 exercises with 10 reps on each and repeated this 2-3 times along with 30 mins cardio 3 days per week.
Short term goal is to get some defintion in her arms and loose BF.

I would just like to know hat type of routines the women on here use.
She wants to continue her 3 days a week in the gym and has access to most equipment.

I was thinking :Mon Chets/bi's
Tue back/tri's
Fri shoulders/legs and if she got in a 4th day then just cardio.
Thanks,
B

I do a body part a day and it changes every week because I train with Kitty once a week and we do a different body part each time. I would suggest putting the legs and shoulders in on the Tuesday so that her tri's have time to recover after doing chest. I know they will come into play when she is doing a pressing exercise for shoulders too but it won't be as much as when she does a tri/bi workout.

More or less same as Elfintan but I split my legs. I normally do chest and biceps, shoulders and triceps. back, quads and glutes/hams on their own. However this last couple of weeks I've done biceps and triceps together leaving chest and shoulders trained alone too. I find that this has helped me concentrate more on arms (my lagging area) rather than them being tagged on with a larger muscle group.

A 4 or 5 day split which varies all the time. I always do legs on their own though so I can really hammer them, I dunno if putting them with another bodypart is wise unless you're splitting your legs up.

She could always do a push/pull/legs split if she has 3 days...

As heavy as I can and usually try and work within 6-12 reps on dropping rep pyramid with increasing weight. I may occasionally get a 15 out of my first set if I find the weight feels lighter that day (if you know what I mean)

Basically the same as Kitty. Although I know both us us like going for it a bit on things like squats and deads I also chuck in drop sets and super and giant sets too. No different than a bloke really the only difference is the actual poundage. I train quite often with some of the lads at the gym and the only difference is generally the weights I use will be lighter than them.
