How long can I leave my egg whites whisked up for in the fridge in a lunchbox before I should really either cook 'em or chuck 'em?

Ask them.
And if they answer, you've left them too long.

1-2 days, is all Id risk. Honestly, I prefer not to take chances with eggs at all.

That's cool, I just wanted to know if I could whisk them up the night before for the next morning... Everyone at work looks at me like I'm batty while I sit there cracking up 6 eggs in the morning! Plus it all saves time!

24hrs is the longest I would leave them if refrigerated

Fabby!

As for LEW I haven't got the cash, buying eggs actually works out cheaper as I sat at home scratching my head doing sums yesterday!

I think LEW are more convenient for the boys as they usually take much more than us...

I just separate my eggs, but my partner uses the LEW as he has 20 whites at a times.

4 cartons free-range LEW = 133 egg whites = £20 including postage*

132 free-range medium eggs at Tesco = £29

Plus I'm short on time in my day as it is without cracking and separating and whisking a load of eggs, and I hate to throw away all the yolks as I find it wasteful. My parents buy a dozen free-range eggs for £1 off a man down the road from them, but I can't bear to throw away the yolks on lovely "real" free-range eggs and just neck the whites, it just makes me think about all that lovely tasty natural egginess that I'm not appreciating! LEW - they're the future!

*They work out even cheaper if you buy in more bulk.

I have to say I'm a newby to LEW and I think they're great. Like you TTT I just don't like the idea of throwing away half an egg which we have been doing for ages, it was such a waste. We always buy free range so it wasn't cheap either. I'm definitely a LEW fan now. Just ordered another 6 bottles from My Protein last night.

Well I started taking LEW 3 days ago for breakfast as follows:

100ml LEW
25g Ground Linseed
50g Oats
20g Choco Whey protein

water and milk to taste.

Can honestly say I can't taste the egg, I neck this raw.

I use LEW myself as I can't be hassled with separating 10 eggs each morning. I also have to make sure they're organic free range if I buy them and they end up costing more than the LEW. I use Eggnation because they're free range, I'm not aware of others that are.

Been speculating in LEW and if it's worth purchasing. Thanx girls for clearing it up for me Sounds worth the money and good source og clean natural protein...
Quick question though... see its been mentioned further up as well but wanting more options as I DO NOT like eggwhites at all... especially not cooked!! Eating cooked eggs without the yolk makes me gag!

How to you add it in to your meals if you take them raw? what do you mix it with, shake or blend, and can you actually do all this and take it with you in your lunch box to drink at work or must it be prepared on the spot?

They're safe to drink as they are if you can stand the taste . I'd ask in the recipe section

50g Oats
20g whey protein
25g Linseed powder

500ml milk

2 cinnamon tabs from here:

Absolutely delicious! You cannot taste any raw egg at all. Recommend it as a staple breakfast for all.

Trouble is, I'm quite happy not to eat free-range eggs (I have no conscience ) and so LEW doesn't work out cheaper for me then...

Tis true, eggs are cheaper if you're not bothered! Does cracking and separating them all not get on your nerves though?!

Even if I didn't have a conscience , the time saved and hassle is worth the extra IMO (I'm just a lazy git you see)

going back to the original q...i always fully cooked my eggs the night before, last thing before bed, and took them to work ready cooked.

nothing worse than drawing attention to yourself cooking something as smelly as eggs!
