to be honest mate when i did 4 weeks on dbol i didnt touch a drop, liver under enough stress as it is, and oxys are especialy hard on the liver, my advise would be dont but if you do drink, do it in moderation. Are you taking anything like milk thistle to help the old liver along?

ORIGINAL: kevo101 if you do drink, do it in moderation. Exactly. A few drinks, even while on orals, isn't going to kill you.

A couple of events isn't going to kill you, but it's still probably better to take it easy. Be warned - hangovers can be a bit grim though!

its only a few weeks i really dont understand how people struggle so much not to drink! if you cant go a few weeks without drinking then dont bother running oral cycles is my feeling, liver is under enough stress already. no it wont kill you, youll probably be totally fine, but drinking is counter productive to why your taking the dbol in the first place, so why do it!

While I wouldn't encourage people to drink while on oral cycles I do think there's a case for saying that 'life involves more than just one thing - ie training'. A family event is likely to be a special occasion, and one that may involve the use of alcohol. I think I'm the reverse to a lot of people here - I think putting more emphasis on a cycle / training than a family event is slightly odd. Sure, I realise that one can still go to the event without drinking, but in some cases this may cause upset to others. Yes, getting rat-arsed is not the best, but a day or two out is going to make very little difference imo

why would not having a drink upset your family?? just say no thanks, how can anyone be offended at that? It's common enough - people feel that you are not 'entering into the spirit of things' / 'being a miserable git' etc. Let's face it people here on MT are forever posting about how their family doesn't understand their training / diet etc anyway. I guess it's because British social culture has traditionally involved alcohol - it's very apparent compared to a number of other nations. It may be slightly daft but it exists nonetheless. Im not suggesting placing more emphasis on training than anything else I realised that Daz, my comments were meant to be of a general nature rather than pointed at you.

no worries erekose mate. i can kind of see your point about people not understanding not having a drink, but me myself i very rarely drink, maybe i have got used to people finding it odd and dont notice, and maybe people that know me have got used to the fact that i rarely drink and dont bother saying anything anymore people can be annoying sometimes when they make a big deal about why your not drinking, but to be honest i kind of feel superiour in situations like this, as i can go anywhere and do anything and have a great time just the same as others that need to drink where i dont, maybe im a bit egotistical about that kind of thing havent seen you posting much recently mate, any reason?

alcohol = better time. If you don't go by that ethos then you have a problem, sir. Personally, I find it extremely hard to not drink for more than 2 weeks so cycles are often a real struggle towards the end and I may well crack. Mind you, I'm of the opinion that if you're going to have one you should have eight or nine haha

As I said above though it's a very British thing - I do a lot of travelling and it really hits home how much more the Brits drink compared to other countries. We do have a problem with alcohol as a nation imo. people can be annoying sometimes when they make a big deal about why your not drinking, but to be honest i kind of feel superiour in situations like this, as i can go anywhere and do anything and have a great time just the same as others that need to drink where i dont, maybe im a bit egotistical about that kind of thing To an extent I envy you that - I've always drunk while out socially, and if I'm honest find it hard not to. Sad but true. havent seen you posting much recently mate, any reason? I was off gallivanting around Cambodia and Laos for a month, and was very busy work-wise before that trying to clear everything so I could bugger off on holiday
