not sure if right place to post this but as a strongman thought get response of more able people then in other forum. what do your diets look like people around 20 stone and around 15% bodyfat? im 17 stone and 8.5% bodyfat, dont mind adding more bodyfat to add more strength. currently im having 6 meals per day, 1 every 3 hours, each meal consisting of 50 grams protein and 80 grams carbs. my aim is to get to 20 stone, however long that may take

To be honest mate everyone is different and you will have to experiment to see what works for you.

I have naturally gained about a stone and a half, and hugely improved my lifts since January just by changing my diet. For many many years before that I had quite a restricted diet as I didn't want to get too big or fat. So this may well have had a large impact on my results.

I have on a typical work day:

Breakfast: Large bowl of cereal or porridge and a protein shake (min 40gms). Also vits/minerals/etc.

Snack: Pro flap jack, fruit and protein shake (min 40gms).

Lunch: Pot of cottage cheese with can of baked beans, fruit.

Snack/pre workout: protein shake (40gm whey) and fast/slow carbs (60gms) and some fruit.

Post workout: Protein shake (fast/slow min 40gms) with WMS 60gm.

Supper: meat/carbs/veg.

Bedtime shake: min 40gm MPC/Whey in milk.

At LEAST 4-5 litres of water a day. I also change things around alot as I belive in listening to my body. If it has been a very hard day at work and I have trained I will have more. On an off day I will have less.

Hope this points you in the right direction mate. Eating alot is hard if you try and keep it clean. Good luck.

MT

protein shakes give me ****es, plus i dont get same results as solid food, plus im poor all my protein comes from tuna, 33p a tin. the more you eat obviously the bigger you get and stronger. maybe i could add weight gainer or whey protein inbetween meals

Maybe you need whey isolate mate? If you can eat clean, just eat EVERYTHING you can get your hands on and you will grow mate!

I use alot of shakes as I am often working in the middle of a forest and it is convenient/suits my needs. I hate tuna so can't do that and there is only so much cottage cheese I can eat!
