If you had the Gomez of 4 or 5 years ago then it would have been a competitive fight. I'm not anti Amir Khan but I dont believe he deserves a world title fight in his next fight considering the opposition he has faced so far

An easy quick KO for Khan in this fight but sadly it proves nothing.

Its a big step up in class if this is his last fight before a world title. Would he face the winner of Pacquaio/Diaz or Campbell?

Mmmm, was very surprised when I heared this one. My head says quick stoppage for Amir, but the old romantic heart says Gomez `Old mans` him and maybe a late stoppage, but don`t think that`s going to happen. I know Gomez will have put the training in for this one and he`ll be right up for it but as Will says think it`s a fair old few years too late.

Well Big D since they are talking about a world title by the end of this year he would need to fight one of these guys to win one of the major belts

He wants to get rid of Warren otherwise he won't fulfil his full potential and won't be taken 100% seriously like Calzaghe

He needs a fight like Romanov for the european belt or another world title contender because fighting the current title holders in his fight after Gomez will be huge step up

I dont know but Warren should believe in Khan's ability to give him the bigger fights. He has set a decent platform for a great career as he is undefeated, has a good fanbase so he will sell tickets and should be given lucrative TV deals

As already said, the Gomez of a few years ago might have made this a decent fight. As it is, he's just been picked because people in the UK know who he is I predict that this fight will be one sided and boring. I doubt I'll bother watching it

I agree with what you are saying BigD about Warren, he is good at what he does but say look at Joe Calzaghe who hasnt been given the credit for fighting the guys he has with all the title defences. It will be interesting if Khan gets past Gomez what will happen next, Juan Diaz and Casamayor are fight september time against each other. Katsidis came to mind but he is fighting Chavez too around that time

Naseem fought for his first world title in his 20th bout, so roughly level pegging
