Who gets them? I often wake up aqfter particularly strong emotional dreams and spend the best part of a day with a slight altered outlook on life due to my previous nights dream. I find I detach from this as the day grows and real life takes me over again. I get at least 1 of these per month or so. Lastnight being one in particular. I have spent most of the morning thinking it through and trying to find the reason for it.

Yea I have had a few tear jerkers too. The one lastnight featured a lady in it. It wasn't sexual, The young lady was somebody I have never met (not to recollection), She was quite beautiful and had a great energy and vibrance about her. Very infatuating to say the least! I have spanned my memory and have recalled many of her notable characteristics from various people I have met bet I was quite amazed that somebody so infatuating and magnetically beautiful with stunning detail could actaully be a ficticious part of my sub-conscious mind. Amazing yet saddening..

I think everybody gets this. Ive woken up sobbing, in tears, horny, excited and everything in between. Dreams can be powerful things.

So sadly disappointed when reality doesn't offer anything near the feeling the next day. I've had a few about women, and I think it just represents what my mind's eye sees in an ideal woman… the problem is, they are shrouded in mysticism and they are basically your underlying subconcious. If only I would project this on to the stupid common frippet I'm likely to end up chatting to tonight….

Not sure but I think that dreams are sometimes things that are in our unconscious minds but then just manifest itself in dreams. For example I may see a 5 second clip about something on tv not taking any notice and it then manifests in a dream. Well that's just my experience.

Wow I thought it was only me that got these. Sometimes I get a distressing dream that puts a downer on the whole day, but sometimes I get a fun dream ;) Dreams are far more powerful than any hallucinogen, and I think dreaming is one of the strangest things that us humans have. I mean, what is the point in it? Is it out brain showing off its evolvedness?

I do think its hen you Brain breaks down data, files, stores catagorises and generally has a little downtime in the form running loose a little. I personally let go the bad emotional dreams, but the good ones - like the one I had lastnight, can have some impact on me.

I once had a dream about a best mate. Suddenly got really strong feelings for her for 2 years afterwards. Bit like how joey got feelings for monica in friends that time.
