I am in the process of burning fat at the moment. I've always been a podgy guy. It is taking a long time to burn the last few pounds of lower ab fat. I can feel my skin is getting tighter and I feel leaner each week.

Is this fat harder to burn, because it is old fat, yellow fat? Will it be easier to maintain once it goes...well once...

its just because for most guys its the last place to go and the first place to put on

it may be easier to maintain than to lose as you dont have to create a deficit so you can relax your diet slightly or do less cardio to remain steady

Would you say its baby fat as such...an older fat and that is what makes it harder to shed first time? Is that the case?

I believe currentlys its a bit of a "mystery" as to why its hard to shift, but i believe there are factors which have been identified which may make it harder to lose for men/women(thighs/hips).

THings like, reduced blood flow, fewer hormone receptors and the fact that its the last place means we're already lean and our metabolisms are pretty slow at this point hindering weight loss even further.

You'll get rid of it eventually, but the curve of fat loss takes a bit of a dive interms of fatloss over time. So you could spend weeks removing 2lbs of it, which isnt really efficent use of time IMO and would have risks of muscle loss.
