you have shoulders which a disproportionatly smaller than any other muscle group, im not a skinny guy but i do have really weak shoulders, should i just do shoulder exercises till theyve caught up with the rest of my body or shud i just do a routine which emphasises the shoulders? any routine ideas greatly apreciated

1st stop, post your routine so we can see if there is anything obvious that you are overlooking.

I wouldn't say your shoulders are disproportionally smaller than the rest of you from that shot TBH

Your strength will come in time, also bare in mind when starting out, benching moves are usually a bit simpler to master than overhead lifts a) we have generally attempted them more and b) less motor skills required

ORIGINAL: whatcanisayimste if you see my colar bone is diagnal not horizontal is this because i have bad Bass?/ genetics? or just because my shoulders are undeveloped? routine which i have just started is Frankies compound 3 day push pull leg's routine because as i was reading aparantly on push pull and legs, the shoulders 'get hit' so any advice? judging from my pic, what do people think my goals should be? get a lower body fat percentage before moving on to bulking? and as a begginer should the only supplement i be taking a Whey shake? welcome to the board mate, as a beginner enjoy your most productive stage in training, get some mass on your frame, eat well and train hard, forget about lagging bodyparts for a year or too as you will find some respond better than others.. eat big, train hard and get big,,, worry about looking good two years down the line when you are twice the size...

thanks for the welcome, i fully intend to change my diet around , ive been looking at jak5r's journal, and im going to base my diet around his, ive invested in alot of chicken, and whey protein, fruit, mixed seeds including flax seeds and hemp seeds, i used to drink about 20-30pints in a weekend, and pizza's macdonalds and kebabs were quite a regular thing, last few weekends tho ive had about 3-4 drinks so ive cut down significantly, i also read cashmans begginers guide , i dont think im one of those people that gets bored too easily , or gives up because havent made massive gains in 6 weeks, so should i not be worried about my dodgy collar bone/shoulderS?

As has been said your shoulders don't look out of proportion at all. Although it appears in that shot as though you are slouching a lot. Stand in front of the mirror, take a deep breath and pull your shoulders back keep your head high and push your chest out.... then tell us if you think it looks better.

ORIGINAL: fun meter Bulk, eat clean, train hard, and rest. You'll be able to make some good gains, and you'll notice it after a few months. I also think it would be worth trying to sort your posture out. Straighten you back, pull your shoulders back and down, expand your chest a bit etc... Try and improve it over time. agreed, forget cutting, eat eat eat, get some real size then think about cutting ie ready for next summer
