Anyone use Western Union, moneygram etc - May 9 2008 19:50:14

Has anyone used the above methods to transfer funds and to pay for goods? How reliable are they? Im buying some goods from china and the seller only accepts payment by Western Union and moneygram and also bank transfer.

Well with WU you need to be sure you can trust the supplier of whatever you are buying. Once you send that money they are under no obligation to send you squat, and if they don't come good you cannot claim back and have no fall back. Pretty much the case with all 3 of those methods to be fair when buying from a place like china. You have to have a serious amount of trust... mcl

I had to use Western Union several years ago. Their fees were extortionate - a total rip-off if you ask me
