yes my wife has a bad back so bought one,you have to spend the right amount of time with it on and in the right spot.then they are very effective well worth their money imo.
then again if you get one of those FULL BODY massages with ten heated motors inside that you just lie on your bed,or sit in your chair i thinkyou would benefit more mate, they are more expensive but absolutly brilliant.

Ginasmg have you actually tried out the mat one where you lie down on it, or are you talking about the one that goes on an upright seat?

Have you seen those slendertone belts? By stimulating your stomach muscles your also doing your connective back muscles too...just put it on like a training belt and walk around with it on under your clothes ...worth a thought!

£15 from Lloyds Pharmacy, it gave me some welcome relief from nerve pains in my leg from a bulged disc a while back. See here --> http://www.lloydspharmacytensmachine.com/

IMO, they're crap.
And as if to prove it, they were in the Pound Shop for, er, a quid yesterday as well which gutted my mate as he just paid £90 for a crap-looking one.

I've got nothing to compare it to so I couldn't possibly say how powerful it is. When you use the machine it has two settings, the first of which determines the type of signal output. You can have pulses (slow or fast), vibrating (slow or fast) or a combo of the two. Second setting determines the power output. You can start at the lowest power setting and then increase it until at the level right for you and at no point should it be causing you pain, if it does then you need to dial down the power. The Lloyds one has 8 power settings and I've never needed to go above #5.

A few people I know have found the machine beneficial, some people might find it doesn't help them, for £15 I'd say it's worth a go. Or, check out the Pound Shop as suggested by Rightyho, you've got nothing to lose by trying one out for a quid.

Yep, they will lose their stickiness. I've used mine on 30-odd occasions and the pads are still ok, Lloyds do sell replacement pads but I couldn't find them on their site so no idea of the cost.
