Don't think there is anything you can do about it tbh except get a drive and lowered curb or more drastically move house.

LMAO

poor bloke, you'll be going after heather mcartney next!

John, there's not much you can do, whatever you do outside of the law just is not worth it, they will just retaliate.

you could get back on good terms with them and seek a resolve that way.

although, i know a bloke that had similar problems, but he couldnt park when there was a football match on as he lived near the ground. so he got some bloke he knew that worked at the council to paint a disabled parking bay outside his house.

Sounds like a very small part of a bigger picture. Sometimes it's easier to consider moving. If you had harboured thoughts of moving, then perhaps this could be the catalyst. There's little you can do legally or illegally that will have the desired effect. These people clearly have no respect for other people, so there's little to gain from reasoning with them.

Perhaps ask them directly what it would take for them to use their driveway instead of parking outside your place. My guess is the reply will be something along the lines of 'We're not breaking any laws', to which the reply would be 'That doesn't answer my question'. Continue leading them until you get a reasonable answer out of them. Then consider what they want. Even if it was say 50 quid. It would be 50 quid well spent if they left you alone from that point. Sometimes a sacrifice will break the stalemate. Consider what is preferable, completing the request or standing your ground on the overall effect of the quality of your life.

Yep, we want to move... but just have other things happening business wise so just not viable right now.
When we do move we are going to rent it out to the most drunkenist student/DSS/drummer/band practise type people as we can LOL.

There is literally no point in attepting to speak civally, I went through that with the fence and it was a complete nightmare... there attitude was take me to court and I'll drag it out another 18 months. Don't forget this was my fence, paid for in full by me, on my land to replace a bent and rotten fence that kept falling over in the wind... you would think they would be happy about it!!! What is funny is we over heard the talking to there visitor telling them it looks miles nicer now with the new fence as if THEY had done it!!!
They would have the same attitude... big slanging match then take me to court bolloks.
I could just nut him (which is the obvious thing to do) but what good would I be to my family if I was locked up. He would not tell the police if it went far enough to scare the life out of him, but that then would be ME taing it too far.

Stupid isn't it.

Awful mate. I lived in a lovely flat in town, with the missus. Loads of lovely old people all around. Then the koont upstairs let his flat via social services to a pair of chavvy delinquents. Queue midnight hoovering, obscenely loud happy hardcore. 3am fights and their flat getting trashed. Called the cops, who upon arriving, knew the pair.

They didn't give a f*ck. I knocked on their door eevery time and politely asked them to be more considerate and was met with a very meek 8 stone Jeremy Kyle candidate who apologised and assured it would never happen again......

Even sussed out who the land lord was and phoned him. He did nothing. It was upsetting the whole block. Why should he care? The rent is paid and the repairs are made by the tax payer. The smug fecker thinks he's doing his bit socially by housing these ferral scum.

So we moved. We have a nice little house now on a very quiet Neighbours-esque estate and love it. As much as it cost us and was a pain moving on xmas eve, it was worth it.

I hate anything that comprimises on my quality of life, which is of the utmost importance to me.

Get out of there, the tit-for-tat stress is not needed. Unless you park on their drive but hang the nose of the car out so they cannot lock it in.

i sympathise how frustrating it is mate ultimately it would appear what ever you say or do to try and reason with them will just not work and moving would be the solution but its not the easiest cheapest or quickest thing to do. some people are just unreasonable morons who get kicks out of making other people unhappy

actually tahts the idea, encourage your son to take up the drums, i dont think they can do anything about that in the day time.
your son benefits and your neighbours lose out.
id be looking at getting them back in ways in which they cant do much about it.

so get down the music shop and get the loudest set of drums they have.

Personally John I`d park my car outside their house or wedge a couple of nails between the road and their tyres so when they drive off they go down.

P1sses me right off this, get this myself, if someone parks in my space I just use the enclosed over-spill car park over the street, I don`t compound the problem by taking somebody elses parking space, doers anybody else think of doing that ? do they feckers like.
I`ve even put bin backs with sticky stuff dripping all over them so people are a bit reluctant to pick them up lol, that seems to work ok.

If you have any mates in the police, ask them to get you some "POLICE. DO NOT CROSS" tape.

When your neighbours go out - put the tape up around their drive and front door.

Next, place several bunches of flowers (that can be purchased cheaply from a local petrol garage) on their doorstep.

Amoung the flowers leave note cards saying things like "forever in our hearts etc"

Finally, wait inside your house with a video camera, so you can forever cherish your neighbours reactions.

john, this is always an awkward one.
however it could have been in your interest to have a solicitors letter from them about the fance, plus a log of all the reports to the police about your family. then take pictures or video of thier car always outside your house... then make a complaint of harrassment. thats pretty much your only non violent option.

failing that you need to fight back.
me personally i couldnt let someone ruin my life like that, i know its petty but that place is your home, so fight back.
do you have a lot of mates? the summer is here so you could start having a few bbq's and invite everyone you know.
as above get your son a cheap drum kit and bash the **** out of it yourself... also, find a new love for death metal and a loud sound system.

put meat at the bottom of thier garden and throw pieces on thier lawn, shredded meat and snacks etc to attract foxes etc.

crack an egg in the vent of thier car. (egg white only - harder to spot)

go down the park and collect some dog ****, then put this on thier driveway.

play loud music.

have a lot of parties/bbq's etc

let your son play wallies with a football outside the house.

sign them up to free ads, newsletters etc etc

write thier house number on call cards and put them in phone boxes for free services.

look in the local papers for people giving away unwanted corn snakes etc, then put them through the letter box.

go buy a rat from a pet shop and put that through thier letter box or when thier back door is open put it in the garden.

when its bin day put some of your rubbish out early but on thier side of the drive so they get a fine.
or if you see they have put thiers out on the drive move it all onto the path, and tear a bag open.

poison thier plants.

poison thier lawn.

damage thier car (more risky)

when they are having a bbq etc light a bonfire and burn all your grass cuttings etc.

take down your fence panels and put some real cheap ****ty bright orange plastic safety fencing.
stack all your panels up in the garden (if a complaint is made your simply refurbing the panels and waiting for the treatment to dry etc.

If they are wierdos who you dont speak to then next time they park on your bit just scratch the side of the car or break the wing mirror when no-one is looking. If they accuse you just deny it. I bet they wont park there again.

lol, i wasnt being sarcy ,it is genuinly my worst nightmare , a man has the right to not be harrassed in his own home - directly or indirectly

once you go down the 'damage' route , it could get nasty ,they sound like total losers that might just pour petrol thru your letterbox at 2am

best be it the evidence gathering route - little by little
