At the end of the day its just not fair that at your own home, your place of sanctuary you have to be wound up by lousy neighbours. Home should be where you come back to relaxation from the stresses of life.

personally i would not waste one more moment of my life on dickheads like that, i would just move house, its a massive upheavel yes , but long term its the best option imo. if that is not an option to you, have you thought about contacting your local councillor?

ORIGINAL: johnnyp if that is not an option to you, have you thought about contacting your local councillor? Yes that's an idea, - wouldn't do any harm to give them a ring. I don't agree with your neighbours, but it's no good being wound up, so maybe try & look at it like this: Legally, they're not doing nothing wrong. Anyone can come along and park outside your house. It's NOT your property, - and you brought the house knowing full well there was no allocated parking space. Either put-up/forget the situation and park wherever you can, - or plan in the future to turn some/most of your front garden into a nice driveway (I'm sure you can include a little garden area somewhere or other). If you plan on revenge or tit-for-tat antics, always remember that after you've taken action, you'll have to sit in your own home and wait for their revenge. Your home shouldn't be a battle ground, - and you'll never be able to relax, - neighouring disputes can spiral out of control over the most stupid of things.

Tit for tatt isn't the answer it just escilates and gets worse and worse. Haven't read all the replies, but have you tried having a sincere chat with them? Really lay it on thick that their disrupting your life and upsetting your family. Invite them round for a meal/ bbq, try and be as nice as pie to them, call a truce. Be the bigger man, as much as it might grate you, it will save you ALOT of hassle and undue stress.

can you not go round there and say: 'with all due respect mate, your parking in front of my house when you have a parking space free in front of yours. what are you playing at?'

I'd move house and once comfortable in my new abode I would then begin to make their lives difficult (most of onion's suggestions would suffice) with the comfort that they have no idea of my whereabouts and my family are safe, or I may decide to do nothing, depends on how much they had annoyed me over the years.

so everytime you have an arguement with your neighbours you spend thousands of pounds buying your way out of a mortgage and setting a new one up

Jon has tried lots of reasoning and has had l;ittle success so as a last result i would do as stated above.

They are being awkward, so I want to stop them... just can not think of anything to do to stop them apart from running them over and doing static on there heads. Park on there drive....thats what I'd so cause I'm a pitefull twunt
