Mclovin -> Another isotonic drink question (May 10 2008 13:30:24)

Much has been said about isotonic drinks, I know this as I have searched. However someone at my gym recommended I try the sainsburys one as its supposedly sugar free with maltidextrin, glucose, sucralose and so a more healthier alternative to the other lucozade type still drinks for pre/post workout hydration. So I goto 2 sainsbury's and their completely sold out of the stuff at both, all they had was lucozade and gatorade. Is it worth tracking this stuff down and is it any better than water for replenishing fluids?

It would be cheaper for you to make your own workout drink. Use Myprotein for either maltodextrin, dextrose or whichever carbohydrate you want to use and add it to water/juice
