I think these kind of things make it even harder to get with someone.
You are sat there making sure your palms are open, you are not looking down, your eye browse rise every 10 seconds on key and your right foot isn't pointing inwards. If you get one of these thing wrong you will have to run to the toilet and correct it of crouse. By this time the potential mate will have gone. With all this on your mind how can you possably have a good convosation and pull.
Unless you are very akward looking normaly I wouldn't bother with them.

Sorry Jack, but you clearly have no clue what you're talking about. Maybe if you studied the methods, went out and applied them for a few months you'd be fit to comment. I take it you have read some sort of disparaging article in THE MEDIA?
Swift, I'd say stay away from the forums. They are mostly full of bad advice, opinions of people who are not qualified to give advice or have enough hands on experience for you to learn from.
I would recommend reading the Venusian Arts Handbook (or Magic Bullets, though I haven't read this), study it carefully and make sure that you fully understand all the concepts. A good addition to this information would be to watch the Annihilation Method DVDs. Then, you should post on the forums to find a wing in your area (yes the forums are good for something) and go out regularly (sober, I might add) to practice the techniques until you have made thousands of approaches. Believe me, after a few months of doing this, patterns will start to emerge and you will be quite competent at this point.
BTW I am basing this on real life experience (mine), not on an article I read somewhere  .

Yeah. I was just making a joke of one of those dating technique programs I've seen. Despite making the poor guys look like idiots alot of the time, the techniques did seem to help alot.

You mean the pickup artist on VH1? I thought it was an awesome show. They were picking up exotic dancers by the end of it.
Swift, if applied correctly by someone who understands the principles they are amazing and WILL produce amazing success.
If you're bodybuilding merely to attract women then yes, jack it in!

Techniques are a load of crap imo. It's not you, it's you posing as someone else and eventually it will bite you in the ass as the girl begins to realise you're not who she thought you were.
Confidence is the key. That said, if you're a dick, then no amount of confidence helps you.

seriously though all the malarky aside some of it is decent advice which if applied at right times can really boost your game but most of it I find is common sense and seems to be for those that fear to talk to a woman yet alone approach her

Yes you're right. All bodybuilders are amazingly successful with women. If a woman sees a muscular man in a bar she will always approach him. Countless times I have seen bodybuilders leaving clubs with beautiful women who decided that they wanted to be with them because they are muscular. Also, all pros have gorgeous wives!

You also don't understand. Will a girl suddenly say "OMG you're standing straight and not fidgeting! You must be a PUA, this isn't the real you!"? After all, this is a technique which is taught.
All the techniques do is provide you with more time to convey your personality. A woman does not want to know anything about the life of a stranger she is not interested in. However, if a guy has approached her and demonstrated that he is a funny, interesting, high value guy by using techniques and if necessary, canned material, she may very well become attracted to him and want to find out more about him. This is why attraction is so important.
Saying that, I'm sure that CONFIDENTLY saying "D'ya fancy a drink darlin'? will never fail .
It may be your opinion, but I'd like to know what it's based on. You clearly haven't applied these techniques, at least not very well if you got "bitten in the ass".

That's common sense.
Using the same old lines on many women seems pretense. Not saying you use the same old lines, but it's food for thought, so to speak. It depends on the situation. Pure strangers do talk as if they're friends, but obviously there'd be a degree to how much you tell a woman in the first few moments.

I've never used these techniques, but from some videos I've seen and some guys I talked to over internet, the videos look staged and the guys are creepy. Some of them even seem obsessed with trying to manipulate women. I suppose it's to a degree of how much you play it.
If it works for you, then fair enough, but personally I don't like playing like that.
Out of interest, why haven't your relationships worked out? Don't have to answer that if you don't want to.

At it's basic level I have no issue with pua stuff, but I aggree a lot seem take it to a creepy level and manipulation is be the basic goal.

AlasTTTair: What material have you read on the subjec that you have found so informative? I must admit i have always been intrigued by these books, but the only few i have seen did seem to be a way of making money for the author. If you could recommend something you have found of decent quality,i would like to check it out.

Most books are written to make the author money, that is nothing to do with whether the content is correct or useful.
I have read quite a lot of this kind of material and have to say that there is a lot of useful things to be learnt. We all know that some people have a natural way with women and others don't. These books are basically trying to analyse exactly what these people do so well, and I think most people who have read the books would have to agree that the information is (on the whole) very logical and fits in with our experience of what women respond to in a man. Sometimes the field can get into slightly questionable pseudoscientific areas (much like NLP can) but the main message is the promotion of self-confidence and status, and who can deny these are two things that women respond to?

i know a few people that have read thse books, all of whom were shy introvert types around women, some still are others not so.
the one's that have had success from them are extremly defensive of them, after all without them they wouldnt have half as much confidence not just around women but in everyday situations too.
doesnt work for everyone. imo.
