The moulds can be expensive for one stone but make several and its very cost effective. Type in slaters stones and talk to Steve Slater, he was really helpful in getting my moulds to the UK. www.cleticstrongman.co.uk

problem with roosk is that they have a set delivery cost (delivery charge is the same for 1 stone as it is for 10) so unless your ordering 4 or more stones they work out very pricey, the only way around this is possibly to order from pullums ( they will charge you more for the stone but dare i say it for once they are not too bad on delivery cost) if your prepared to make stones yourself slaters are a good company to deal with (including shipping your looking at £50-60 for the mold)

I'd agree with lost roosk delivery prices were mega. I've made quite a few stones now with the slaters moulds and not had one break on me - yet! www.celticstrongman.co.uk

Thanks everyone for the help and links, lots of options for me to consider. What size stone would you all suggest I start off with given that I`m a beginer in stone lifting and only a wee small lad...lol The bottles I have for farmers are 77Kgs each and the kegs I use are 140lbs, if this helps Thanks again.

I got the moulds that make the 70kg and 100kg stones. The 70kg now seems well light but is still fn to play with and you can add lead to make it heavier - I made one up to 80kg. Likewise with the larger mould you can put in a foam ball to make it lighter, I made a 90 and a 95kg stone from the mould and added lead and made a 117kg stone. For cement I used a 2.5/1 mix with fibre glass matting shredded into the mix to give it strength. www.celticstrongman.co.uk
