after spending 3 hours and trying on at least 25 pairs of jeans and only finding one pair that even came close to remotly fitting well, they either fit your legs but the waist is way too big, are too tight, you have to get stupid big baggy things and have the crotch hang between your knees
im seriously thinking about launching a small clothing label making clothes to fit people that train!
jeans that fit t shirts that are tapered smaller at the waist rather than larger and hang off big shoulders like a tent shirts that fit round the waist that you can lift your arms up in
One thing I have learned from 6 years of on and off visiting bodybuilding forums is that this topic comes up all the time.
I love clothes. I bought some jeans today after a big dilemma. 38 or 36? 36 or 38!? Aaaaaaagh! Denim does shrink a bit in the wash, but it also stretches a bit with wear. Even fresh out of the washing machine a pair of jeans may seem snugger only to feel less snug and softer and more free (and just right) with a couple of days wear.
I'm 6ft. 46 chest, 34-36 waist depending on whether I am trying to bulk or shrink. I have mostly 36 waist jeans in my collection, but also some 38's. Though the 38's tend not to be jeans but trousers. I tend to fit some 36 jeans nicely, but other 36's are too snug. The odd 38 may be just right with a belt, and another 38 may be miles too big. The only 38 jeans I have seem exactly the same size as the 36's I have when I compare.
So...
I quite like skateboard/hip hop brands e.g. Mecca cos they are more free. So brands I like might not be your thing. I hate tight clothes.
I've had the same jeans on for 2 days now, gonna go to the disco in the centre of the town.. everyone's dressing up, I'm dressing down....
edited to add. Find a tailor. £20 could see your jeans tailored to your exact fit/requirements.
Ive also got big ish legs m8 bout 29 inch at top. I hate wearing jean so uncomfortable[:@] Biggest pair jeans ive found on the leg are a pair by G star. Bit spicey an maybe not your style but check them out just encase.
my waist measures 32.5 inches today, some jeans i tried on claiming to be loose fit were still tight on the thighs even in a 38 inch waist!
How big are your thighs? Mine are only 25 so I am about ok with 36 or 38. With a little effort I can get my waist to 33 but I would still wear the 36 or 38 jeans belted because I wouldn't have shrunk that much on my legs or seat when in good condition.
A tailor could remove 1-2 inches from the waistband no problem. And you wouldn't be able to tell it was ever done.

Mecca are similar style.. I really like Mecca.. you can pick up bargains like G Star, Mavi, Mecca, etc in TK Maxx.
It's not just you big guys that have a problem with jeans .. I have a 26" waist and a huge arse so I really struggle trying to find jeans that fit without leaving a gaping chasm round my waist [:@]
Plus I'm a shortarse so leg length is a major problem
so ill add jeans for women with little waists and nice curvy bums to my list! [:)]
when i put on jeans with a waist bigger than mine, my thighs pull the jeans and i end up with the excess material round the back stuck out, put a belt on and it pulls round on the loops and sticks out of the bottom! grrrr

A tailor will sort that for about £20.

might look into that as a last resort, just the thought of buying a decent pair of jeans bigger that what i want, and then spending more money to get them to fit seems a bit weird, but it may well be the only way
and i suppose then i could go back to looking for jeans i really like, rather than jeans that fit lol
I cant wear any designer jeans anymore, a total biatch really. I found a few decent pair of combat type jeans in next, loose fit, but if you have big thighs they look decent on. Also, if you have a republic near you, there are a few jeans there, think they are Bench jeans that fit ok too. As for a smart pair of jeans for going out etc, forget it lol, I cant find anything anywhere!
