Working Protein! - 10 May 2008 18:52
hi bros , I am looking for a protein , which will have active ingredients and will work , cause the most protein supplements are just flours with minimum active ingredients and do not work. I do not want to waste my money for nothing! Any suggestions?

Ehhhh?

This post is ..... odd?

OK, so "active ingredients"? This is the protein itself, or perhaps the amino acids found within the protein. All whey protein is similar enough.
Most protein supplements are flours? News to me!
Minimum active ingredients? You mean low protein percentage? Any protein that is 80% protein will contains you guessed it, 80% "active ingredients " as you call it!

go to myprotein.co.uk or any bulk suppliers.

1)Active Ingredients: The most protein supps have a very low concentration of aminos.
2)The 80% or 90% protein doesn't mean anything to me , if the included aminos and vitamins exist in a very low concentration per protein serving or do not exist at all.
3) I can't prove that most proteins are flours , but my biochemist can. He tested many supps in his lab. As soon as I have in my hands some test labs , I will upload them.

Anyway thanks for your help lads!

Im sorry mate but what you have posted is wrong, especially points 1&2. Do you actually know anything about protein mate?

if its 80-90% protein what is it made up of then, dust?! Protein is a collection of aminos mate

I wish I was wrong mate! Unfortunately I am not. I do not want to accuse the protein supps , but the reality is that the most content of a protein is just a cheap flour. If you do not believe me , take any protein from Muscletech and analyze it. You won't believe the lab results.

I'm very interested to see these lab reports of the supps that he has tested. Like TIO says you couldnt be further from the truth so if your biochemist is telling you these things then you need to get a new one

lads , I have seen many bodybuilders go their proteins to my biochemist for analysis. Each time I ask him , what he has found. The results are the same: The concentration of the included aminos is so low , almost undetectable. I believe that we pay for protein , in order to increase the intake of aminos , in order to support our muscle growth. The only aminos that at the moment work , are some vet injectables.

No this simple cannot be true. Myprotein and other companies regularly have their batch's tested for Protein content, and they are usually about 80%. This means that out of 1kg of this Whey protein, 800g of it is amino acids. I'm not quite sure what you are trying to argue?
Whey Protein is not Amino acids?(btw, the definition of protein is "Any of a group of complex organic macromolecules that contain carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and usually sulfur and are composed of one or more chains of amino acids")
Or are you arguing perhaps that the Whey Protein in supplements is somehow magically not made out of Amino acids and made from something else? That is simply not true. Myprotein even tell you the amount of each amino found within the protein.

As above, I would rather like to see the lab tests!

the most recent lab results (the second half-year period of 2007) are from the following:

1) nitro-tech hardcore from muscletech
2) aminovit from AllStars

Also he has tested Hydroxycut from muscletech and guess what he has found inside besides the rest of the ingredients : ESTROGEN

All the products have been bought in Greece , I am telling you this , cause supps differ from country to country. I must take a copy of the rest lab tests , in order to upload them and be more specific.

Where did you buy the protein you tested? Was it from the muffin man?
Did it look like this?

why , is it illegal? Don't tell me that you have the same username to all boards? After all , I want to gather opinions from experienced athletes , about working and tested proteins. I don't have the time or enough money for experiments!
