Keeping traps out of my exercises. - May 10 2008 22:18:03

Well on both shoulder and back day I feel that my traps are the most used muscle even though I do no direct traps work. They are also probably by biggest muscle, just behind my chest for my proportions.

I would like to cut them out of my shoulder work as much as possable and so looking for tips on how to do this.

I guess it's fine for MP as I am training for max strength and so should be using as much of my body as possable to get the weight up. But for raises/rows any tips?

3rd that, if you train traps just dont train them if you think that way, but dont change anything else, you need rows etc

Agree with the above. They'll be hit indirectly, so you cant do anything about it, and it doesnt matter if your training for strength.

I saw in your routine though, that you do Upright rows, might as well drop them if you want less work on traps.

I 4th or 5th what has been said. Don't worry. Big traps are cool anyway. Want to spot a good lifter; look at the traps! Not 100% universal law but close.
