Man I love carp fishing. I started young with my dad at the pay lakes - Everyone paid an entry and cash was paid for biggest fish every hour for 12 hours straight!!! Not any pay lakes around too close, so I fish the rivers now for wild carp. They are more difficult to catch but fight considerably better Are biolies the most popular bait in UK ? I was taught and most use particle baits here. For example, rice, potatoe flakes, jello and vanilla flavor for example. Use a corn pop or wheat puff on hook and pack the bait over. I use several variations and most seem to work in the rivers...

Any of you lads got any good pictures of carp you've caught ?

Just need to get my mate to make me some bait up as its been a long time since i did it. Might go get a few little extra end tackle pieces as well but pretty much ready to go fishing. Think i'll get me a license tomorrow then just start thinking about whether to fish one of Birminghams pools or try somewhere local this weekend
