You really have an issue with men, don't cha Med LOL
papa L, is not as if there are lots of other women who post on here regularly and don't find anything objectionable, besides I do hope mt doesn't provide a sample of men that closely represents the general population?

thats a bit harsh, are you saying it would be a bad thing if we as members of this board were a true representation of the general population?

I believe she is, and so am I.

that begs the question then of why do either of you bother posting in the general forum or on MT for that matter?

i'm not trying to spark an argument, but having a go at the majority of members on MT is very strange considering you're both high profile regular posting members.

Do you know its difficult but you can survive and become a better person yourself through it. Can you forgive? Off course you can. You probably wouldnt be able to forget but you will nbot forget many bad things in your life and still be able to live a happy life.

I've been through a lot of sh!t recently and i have forgiven the way i was treated and still dealing with it all. I will do my utmost to sort myself out and even my relationship in whatever way it ends up to be. If she meant a lot to you you will forgive if she didnt then you will move on.

All of us had people doing the wrong on us friends, family or partners. Some of the relationships survived and grew strong others haven't. That is life. Chin up and do what is best for you and decide for yourself, no matter what anyone says, including myself, you and you alone know what is best for you.

Good luck!

I'm only having a go on this one topic though. The reason being that there are many people on MT and so one would expect diversity of opinion and yet i suspect (from memory) that JK2, James and I are the only male members (excuse the pun) who have not advocated violence, and or an unceremonious dumping. No dialogue, no discussion, just cut the cheating slag off at the knees. One member advised stoning her to death.

if that is their opinion so be it. But I honestly believe that on this one topic the people giving this extreme advice would not actually take their own advice if they were in that position.

Are you really going to ditch a girl that you love beacause of one slip. I really doubt it, you may say you would, but talk is cheap, and you would have to be (in my opinion) seriously dim, or not really in love at all if you were.

That's it, that's my amswer, like it or lump it as they say, but I mean every word. And that is more than you can say of some people

My head is above the parapet once more, throw at it what you will

Hadn't posted in this thread but I would have to agree with you Pete.
It hurts like hell when this first happens, and often a time out to clear your head and cool down is needed.

Once you're over the initial anger you will be in a better position to decide if you think what you had is worth salvaging. Try to remember we're all only human and everyone makes mistakes (especialy if they have been drinking).

thats fair enough if you were solely going on this topic, it didnt seem that way from Medusa's post though.

in relation to this topic, i think most of it is male bravado and faced with the situation not many people would walk the walk and take their own advice, i've never been in that position and hopefully i never will be but i do know i wouldnt be so quick to jump the gun and dump her, especially if i loved her but then again its down to a lot of factors, how she treat him before this, whether there was a future etc

like i say though my point was more to do with the slating of the majority of MT members on a whole and not just in this post. I didnt really see a need for such alienation, but obviously didnt see it from just the perspective of this post alone.

These days TBH I would make a quick decision. Before i've let it lingered on and its caused more hurt than good on both sides. Each situ has its mertis/demerits tho and i'd base it on that.

again to add to my previous post, people cheat, it probably doesn't make them bad people, but it does forever taint the relationship imo

come on Medusa, you've quoted me there in a way that makes it out as though i am attacking you. Thats not the case, as i outlined to Fat Pete i was merely asking why if you hold this opinion of the masses of MT members do you waste your time with the forum.

i say waste your time, because if i was in your position i wouldnt see the point in pariticipating in conversation with people that were so far away from my level of thinking which is obviously how you feel, note that pete did say his opinion was from this thread alone, yet you havent stated that.

As for why more women dont post more in general, thats a question you should ask James if it really bothers you and you think something should be done about it. Bare in mind though how many women do you see in the weights section of a gym in comparison to men?

the word 'muscle' puts plenty of women off from weights as it is, never mind a forum aimed at talking about muscle. no matter how much James & Jason try to diversify general women will not be attracted to a forum with these core aims.

'weight loss forum' search on google and muscletalk doesnt even get into the top 5 pages.

i can see where James and Jason are trying to go with the forum, especially from a commercial stand point, the women's weight loss indusrty is massive but attracting them is not just down to the posts in the general section imo. its a very small factor imo.

I also dont think you should leave the forum, you have an abundance of experience in training and add an educated and somewhat different view to debates.

TBH I D, I think it should be clear where we'd like MT to go. Medusa is everything MT should be about (as I would have usually said you are) and I am actually grateful that she is trying to help pull it where it should be.

There's gonna be alot of tight moderation coming. Unfortunately this means some people will be nervous to post

All done here anyway
