Britain's Got Talent - strongman act - 11 May 2008 12:18
Anyone watch this?

The Atlas Stone (without tacky) showed good strength, although I noticed it had a flat base, which would have made the lift easier.

Supporting Ant & Dec on a frame on his back though was FAR from impressive! What do they weigh? 10/11 stones each? I could have squatted that weight for 10+ reps!

Found it quite laughable to be honest. I noticed the flat base on stone aswell and there is no knowing the weight of the stone was real. Not really Variety Performance quality. We need Mr Hollands on there

Wasn't impressed at all by him. Was impressed though with these lads a couple of weeks ago http://youtube.com/watch?v=KA2B5X0LhMY and want to see what they come up with next which I doubt they will be able to better.

I sat there cringing watching him gimp about lifting not very much at all.

Then I looked at the missus, who was creased up laughing but also embarrassed for him.

No more "strong man" acts on this programme, please.

Did he have a leopardskin and Handlebar moustache ?

This is something I feel is really missing from modern strongman , - If I ever have another go at Strongman I am going to promote the traditional look
