is this a common thing?

i have small hands and have done the knuckles in on my right hand numerous times whilst at work (not for years though) and it is aching now

it is just the two little fingers and even if i crack it it doesnt help (it usually does)

i dont really know how to explain the pain though

i use a reverse grip and was only lifting 134kg

My hands are red and sore after deadlifting, but not in the way you're describing - it's where the calluses are at the top of the palm that I get the soreness

I've never had any problems with the knuckles or finger joints from doing them though. Odd

it's took you this long to realise that i am odd? you're losing it

well i have put the knuckle problem down to me having relatively small hands, this is part of the reason why i have not ventured into olympic bars yet

the injury is an old injury from a fight, doesnt really help my lifting though
