They seem to market themselves as a healthy eating establishment. However I'm not so sure.

Whats the verdict are these subs really ok ? Or full of trash and crappy fats.

I suppose in a way they are but if you look into them they are not.

Whats wrong with them? They are just a sandwich with whatever YOU want in them, dont see a problem really.

The only problem I have with them is the brown bread as it's quite low in fibre in comparison with wholewheat. Otherwise, they seem pretty healthy to me if you choose low fat sauces and stick with the non processed meats.......

dont know if anyone has read the triple h auto biography entitled making the game but it has a section about getting decent bodybuilding food from fast food places, subway included along with mcdonalds and lots of others etc. with regards to subway it says something along the lines of go for wheat bread, with tuna or chicken etc and take the double meat option everytime, add salad etc. The book is worth a look it gives good tips on bodybuilding meals on the go etc

I concur.

However I don't go to subways to eat 'healthy'! Foot long meat ball and cheese with everything spicy that can be thrown in!

imo there bodering ok, would never eat the chicken again from there but there is alot of other options, tuna and light mayo for instance.

If your caught short in town one day and need a meal then there is alot worse places about, just be selective in what you choose.

I used to eat it somewhat often. I would get a 6" oven roasted chicken with lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar dressing, and double the meat portion. In theory it is healthy. The one thing, though, is that the chicken is likely HIGHLY processed and loaded with preservatives and therefore high in sodium. Thats my guess. I cook all my own food now.

No idea of their full nutritional breakdown but the meats and cheeses will be heavily processed.... not something I'd have as part of my daily diet but I wouldn't turn one down if I was hungry

I normally have a 12" steak and cheese as my 'cheat meal' on my diet In comparison to the 3000 cals of a mcdonalds meal, I dont think its such a bad cheat

Can be good depending on what you get but I've gone off them a bit lately. I'd rather make my own uber-sandwich for a quarter of the price.
