This is a strange one I have been training for years and training correctly. When I train any body part I cant get a burn and I used to get a burn all the time. I am 43 years old and have been training for 23 years off & on. I have noticed over the last year that I am not getting a burn. I have tried all kinds of weights light to heavy and still no joy. Can any you guys shed any light, its doing my head in. I was thinking of trying niacin.

You don't 'need' a burn.

agree with ak_88, however maybe its because you need to chanve routines, change exercises which will make you grow better? As long as youre growing its fine.

throw in 100 pushups, 20 jump squats and 50 burpees... you'll get your burn but it wont be productive

its low reps, i struggle to get a pump on 5-6 reps but its not the 50's anymore and the pump means squat heavy reps with plenty of rest in between sets will not allow a build up of blood in the muscles (aka the pump) and the sets are not long enough in duration to give the burn feeling. as soon as you switch rep cadence no doubt it will come back...
